Some decent prices at Flickinger’s progressive sale. Takes some digging, but Sottimano Barbarescos are well below market.
Flatiron put the rest of their stock in nyc online at 15% off if you buy 6 bottles. Some potentially not awful deals if you want mags. 08 Dom luminous for like 580.

Adelphia wine market in NJ apparently has magnums of 08 Taittinger CDC for 449; no idea where they ship to or if they actually have any.

This place is in Bernardsville, across the street from Gary’s. Used to be Berkeley Wine which had a store in Berkeley Heights too, which is now Vine Republic. They show 2 magnums available so I placed an order, got an order number, no email confirmation and my card was not charged. They still show 2 available so doubt they actually have any left or that my order will be confirmed. The checkout page gives you the option for UPS shipping. They list a few states where they don’t ship to but CA is not one of them.

That was a great price, thanks for posting. Doubt if I will get them, but Alan might have a shot. Plucky had it for the same price, but that was back in December '21 and Comtes prices have only gone up since then.
I’d never really seen many offers for mags. I managed to scrape together a few though. Glad I’m reasonably well stocked on 08 cdc

I was told by someone else ITB that Taittinger was short on '08 magnums because they had an issue with some of the lots. In any case, I never got any offer for magnums and I had to go looking for them.
The pricing has been high but not as high as cristal mags.

I only bought mags of 08 rose; I’d found a spectacular price. I saw some mags of the 08 Blanc yesterday for like 900 which isn’t awful, I guess.
I don’t have that many mags in general, maybe a couple hundred, but probably 80% are champagne and probably 80% of those are 08 dp or 09 Cristal. There were some absurd offers for 09 Cristal a few years ago, like 350/btl.
