Tempting wine purchases you’ve passed on—give others a shot

Oh good question, honestly I’m not sure. I travel often so i just know you get it with exec platinum.

I rarely travel any more, but am lifetime platinum from the almost 3M I did travel. Now I think that gets me a free water on the plane lol.

For those who were buying the Gros Freres CV at BuyWinesOnline, they sent out a coupon code today for an additional 7% off if you buy 6 - LOVE Brings the CV down to $139.50. They spelled it wrong, though, if that turns you off.

You can use Bwovip for 10% off

I’m not a buyer - but if there’s a better code, go for it folks!

Ha! And zone 2 boarding i believe…so not too shabby! Early enough to get your carry-on in the overhead bin

BWG Bin Sale. Can sometimes find deals if you are willing to comb through their byzantine website.

I’m both excited and saddened by this information

I always find this so baffling and give up almost immediately. Can’t even tell what the discount you’re being offered is, and outside of a few very specific areas I have no clue what market is for this stuff.

I have bought bottles in these sales in the past but only because I had the prior prices written down so I could compare. Otherwise :man_shrugging:

I’ve spent a good amount of time going through these bin offers (primarily Burgundy) and have never found a deal all that enticing. Especially once you consider landed cost with shipping these rarely get to WS low. I do find some good deals at benchmark though in the cellar releases from time to time.

It’s the most frustrating approach I have dealt with. Pretty much don’t even bother any more. Set it up like literally every other retailer does, where you can sort by name, price, vintage, country/region, etc. I can’t imagine someone there isn’t reading this thread and realizing how many customers they are missing because of this.

This is how I ended up taking years to use a sweet amount of credit there.

What did you decide on btw?

Sorry, I am squeamish about sharing purchase info.

I understand that. No worries. Only reason I asked is because I think I recalled you mentioning the credit a few weeks ago.

I’ve picked up some good deals at bin sales over the years, and ground shipping isn’t too bad within CA, so I usually do some looking around. Even so, most of the time there aren’t enough compelling bottles in my price range to really make a purchase worthwhile to me. This was one of those times.
