Rose Champagne Recs Under $100

GOUTORBE!!
(even though Brad already said it)

My “go to” Rosé is the NV J. Lassalle Brut Rosé 1er Cru. A pleasant/delicate style - very consistent.

More votes for Chartogne-Taillet and Billiot. The Billecart Salmon Rose is between $80-90 in our market and although it’s good it’s not worth that.

So…thanks for the recs.

Besides BC, I couldn’t find the top suggestions here…

BUT…

I did go with the 2010 Roederer Brut Rose @ $70

Bright red fruit…electric acidity…a superb finish. Incredibly flirtatious…

Moutard - Rosé de cuvaison

I have officially drank a case of the Saves NV Rose now. It’s rare over the years I have drank a case of anything, other than a few of the Copain cuvees and also I’ve burned through a case now of the Dethune NV Rose, which is also a screamer of a great bottle.

If you have yet to try either the Saves or Dethune, you oughta try and find some. Both continue to be great values for me in the Champane space for my cellar.

  • NV Camille Savès Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé Bouzy - France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru (8/14/2017)
If my notes are right, this was disg’d in December 2014. 9 g/l for the dosage, as well. This is bottle #12, so there must be an award for working through an entire case so far. I continue to really dig this stuff. Lime, strawberry, solid acidity. Little bit of yeasty notes in this bottle, too. Great stuff for $50.

Benoit Lahaye, Champagne Brut Rose, NV

Fantastic thread BTW. A ton of wines I’ve never tried named here, and I’m going to do something about that.

Lots of good reccos.
I second the Ployez Jacquemart…silly good for $40-45.

Just had this recently as well. Very good.

My short list:

LAURENT-PERRIER ROSE
RUINART ROSE
CHARLES HEIDSIECK
FALLET-DART ROSE
ANY RECENT VINTAGE OF MOET & CHANDON ROSE
ANY RECENT VINTAGE ROEDERER ROSE
BOLLINGER ROSE
MOUTARD ROSE
BILLECART ROSE
PAUL BARA ROSE

All of my favorites have been named: vintage Pol Roger, vintage Roederer, Saves NV, Vilmart Rubis NV (still have a couple bottles of the mid-90s blend release in the cellar, believed to be 95-96), and Billiot NV. 2008 Roederer and Pol Roger are both brilliant and for long-term cellaring.

The 2008 Pol Roger rose is sick (good)! For grower, can’t go wrong with Paul Bara Special Club.
