Prosecco Rec Please

I need recommendations for a decent Prosecco. Nothing too fancy as I need it to be something I can likely find at retail locally.

Can I get something reasonable in the $30/$35 range?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure about TN, but you can find this in a lot of areas for around $20, sometimes much less.

I was surprised - are there that expensive Proseccos?

When it comes to Prosecco, my recommendation is to steer clear of the style. Can’t imagine there was a bottle of Prosecco another style of fizz couldn’t beat at a lower price.

This is a different question than what the OP asked, but I’m curious if there are any really good Prosecco. IOW, not “what’s decent and cheap,” but if there are some actually really good ones, maybe at higher price points.

I’m not assuming there are, or are not, but I’m curious to know.

Well, we sell Costadila 330.

It’s about as far from supermarket Prosecco as you can get, and pretty popular.

Not sure how widely available is in the US, but Ca’ dei Zago is one of the most interesting (btw Italian price is 14$, tax included)

Nino Franco Rustico

Costco usually has for between $15-20. My wife really likes it, I find it decent for the price. It’s our go-to for weeknight bubbly.

I have only tried this once and liked the bottle I tried. I’m hesitant to make a recommendation off a single bottle especially a petnet that falls into the organic camp if not natural. Plus it’s under crown cap. But it’s $22 and available in Nashville at woodland. CANEVA DA NANI COL FONDO so you can pick one up to try yourself.

There is good prosecco out there and you would be hard pressed to spend over $25 for it. However, much of it is small production and availability will vary by location. One very good one that has better availability than most is Pertimali from Sassetti.

Nailed it! This is exactly what I was going to suggest. There are lots of other good ones, but this is one that might actually be easy to track down. I think it’s a good value for sparkling wine in general, not just Prosecco.

I like what I have tasted from this producer, but I have no idea where to find them. Tasted at a Tre Bicchieri event.

Surprisingly good Prosecco. I also liked the Colbelo and Cartizze, but this one was the driest and most interesting, to me.

Some great recs…thank you.

@Brian Gilp…are you in Nashville?

Don’t know about the price but Adami Cartizze (Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze) is a good Prosecco

I’ve had a few Prosecco from Cartizze, the “Grand Cru” area. These are a bit more $ but worth it in my opinion if you want something nice to sip and not just to toss orange juice or cassis into for a porch pounder.

No. Just been there a number of times the past few years, the most recent being just a couple months ago. Woodland is a stop every trip

Does to have to be Prosecco … Ferrari makes a champagne method sparkling Italian wine with Chardonnay grape that would be in that price point. I’m a big fan of Adami Prosecco. Extremely bubbly like has bubbles on day 2 even.

I haven’t had Adami but I’ve had Le Colture and Villa Sandi Cartizze Prosecco and both were very good.

I agree with these as well, although Villa Sandi Cartizze looks a bit pricey these days. Several from Cartizze are very good, but the name commands such a premium now that I stick to less expensive bottlings that are very close in quality.

Yes, Villa Sandi is a bit pricier but I picked up a few bottles with wine.com coupons and cash backs so came in around $30 which was well worth it!

I will have to seek out some Adami based on your recommendation champagne.gif

Nice, $30 is a good price for that (although Nino Franco Rustico may be almost as good, maybe even as good, for less). Adami Cartizze wasn’t my recommendation, but I’m interested to try it too.
