Prettiest Wineries to visit in Oregon?

+10 on Penner Ash.

The veiw at Bethel Heights and Penner-Ash isn’t shabby either. But, Anne Amie was the first name that I thought of when I saw the thread title.

The view from Chateau Benoit IS really nice.

Ohh, come on Todd, don’t sell yourself short on the pretty! You’re damn sexy in those orange coveralls.

I cannot disagree with any of the wineries listed above but for a beautiful setting, Flying Dutchman is tough to beat. I haven’t had anything recent from them in the past ten years but a bottle of 97 this past Thanksgiving makes me want to go taste there again.

I’ll have to check it out on one of my trips. I have not been there.

Further south, Iris Hill was a a great place to bring some lunch and enjoy the view. +1 on Elk Cove, Bethel Hts, & Cristom.

[rofl.gif] I wonder how may folks will get this.

Ponzi is a nice facility and you can picnic there as well.

I figured if I said Chateau Benoit nobody would know where it was…

-and thanks Mark!

I know exactly where Chateau Benoit is…and the views of sunsets from there are pretty amazing.

If you’re gonna hit the southern Willamette Valley, then King Estate would be a great stop as well. Just a little further south from where Iris Hill was (is?), and both the drive through the vineyards, the facility, and the view from the top of their hill is great.

There is a new, spectacularly beautiful winery/vineyard called Colene Clemens

http://www.coleneclemens.com/
Located just above the Ribbon Ridge AVA with outstanding views of Chehalem Mtn and Ribbon Ridge–first vintage was '08.

The two 08 offerings were large scaled wines, supple and plush, but with nice structure and balance. We’ll learn more about the house style as the vintages roll by, but my g*d, the winery, vineyard and grounds are jaw droppingly gorgeous. This is what an unlimited budget looks like in Oregon.

(I have no association with Colene Clemens Vyd)

Anyone been to “Hawk’s View” Winery?

I’ve been told it’s a must visit… thoughts?

They should call their wine club “The Ponzi Scheme.”

There’ll be musts on every visit, if you go at the right time.

Go see the great people at Ayres Vineyard. Awesome wine, beautiful space.

I agree with everything except the space. It’s a basement. [snort.gif]

In 2007 when I visited, I think Brad had a few folding chairs between his house and the in laws house. Right next to where where he dumped the remains from destemming.

Prettiest Space= vineyard view in this case

Jim, that was four years ago. He’s since upgraded to an Irish seating arrangement . . . Patty O’Furniture. [rofl.gif]
