Yeah, totally different companies (if you can call WB a ‘company’) - funny thing is, both Eric and I exchange freemium payments annually. He pays for his GCC and I pay for my CT!
Funny enough, my kids (8 and 6) liked it, but my spouse was not a fan. She specifically said not to buy any more “old meat” and could smell it in the house for days after cooking.
I’m almost out of Veleta olive oil, so that’s high priority. Beyond that, I’ll be looking at old favorites (e.g. Tercero, Sabelli-Frisch, Lagier Meredith, Flannery pork caps if available) and checking out other offers to see if there are new-to-me wineries with compelling offers. I’m fairly limited on both budget and storage space, so we’ll see how much I actually end up with this year…
We are rationing our last 1.5 bottles of Veleta olive oil and sherry vinegar, so they are #1 on my list, with my husband urging me to make sure we have enough (somehow, he never says that about my wine purchases ).
Also on my watchlist are:
Ansonia
Vinous Reverie, if they participate this year. Awesome selections!
Glasvin Kane
Sabelli Frisch Flame Tokay (if you haven’t tried it, you must)
anything sparkling or rosé. I am swimming in red wine and rarely drink it anymore, so it’s on my no-buy list. Famous last words…
caviar to go with the sparkling.
I am sure there are many more offers that will tempt me, but these are top of mind. The Veleta is imperative though, as the warden will file a complaint if I fail to get some .
Some can ship to states not listed. You have to ask.
There may be a 3rd party shipping option that is not in the normal online order process. I’ve received wine here in NJ many times even though it wasn’t listed as a ship to state.
Ask right in the thread. The responsiveness and customer care is exemplary from the participating sellers.
