Perkins Harter / Oregon Winegrower Meetup NYC Oct 12/13

I have a fairly last-minute trip for industry tastings with Vom Boden next Tues/Wed in NYC and with Ungrafted in CT Thurs/Fri. I’ll be around Sunday and Monday with a blissfully flexible schedule in the city if there’s any interest in me hauling along some wine from Bracken to open for NYBerserkers. Just give me a shout!

I’d say Sunday afternoon/early evening on my end. I’m staying at 6th & W 30th (just NW of NoMad) but can obv meet wherever! Open to ideas on time/location for easy corkage.

That sounds great! I am certainly not an expert and would be happy to see if anyone knows any better spots, but there are plenty of options on Sundays. Depending on how small our group is (I’ll likely have a +1), can try to get a reservation at Noreetuh which should be great on Sunday (either BYOB or $10 corkage have to check). If not can do corkbuzz ($25 corkage), wu’s wonton king (BYOB), or if we want some heartier fare Vinyl Steakhouse is great ($25 corkage). Let me know if anything jumps out or if any other options come to mind!

I can bring Meunier for sure. I love it. Making it was a personal dream and a mission.

I’m pretty deferential. I’m not sure I can handle full steakhouse but Noreetuh or Wu’s sound good offhand. I’ll work on diggin out some some past vintages out tomorrow. The more peeps, the more I’m willing to dig. I may drag two industry people along with me.

If you have a bottle of the solera to spare would love to try that! Haven’t gotten my hands on one yet.

I reached out to Noreetuh, let’s see what they say. I said we’d be about 10-12 so hopefully that covers it. Let me know if anyone knows another good Sunday spot in case they can’t get us in.

If later in the afternoon/early eve, I may be game. will know sat.

And Noreetuh doesn’t have space for us :smiling_face_with_tear: anyone know of another good option other than Wu’s Wonton King? If not I can reach out to them.

Try skin contact, food is less a thing, but they do have snacks and Eben is very good about corkage for wine nerds.

OK, I’ll pull wines today so put in any requests from the 2016 vintage forward. I’ll bring 6 bottles + possibly a mag depending on how I’m feeling.
