Official WTSO thread

Hmmn. I was going to wait a few years unless you suggest I pobega you

Kind of sad actually. Seems like much ado about nothing. Do we really have to protect everyone against themselves?

And a question, of the brands created by Mr. Newman, is it actually illegal to bottle the same juice under different brands? Would that be similar to a winery bottling excess juice as a second label/brand to protect a primary label? And that’s ok right? Cameron Hughes sells wines for 1/2 price right? Yet those wines were never offered at their “full” price.

MSRP in wine in my estimation has always been a moving target and never a concrete number influenced by things as simple as geographical location. Heck 2 Buck Chuck is 3 bucks here in IL. I want a refund.

2013 Patricia Green Marine Sedimentary up for $25…free shipping on 4 or more

Never tried Patty Green. Is this good intro to their wines?

2014 Caymus for $64.99 and free shipping. 1 Bottle min.

Same price as WL incl. shipping.

Personally, I think anyone trying to be a thorn in the side of this Newman douchebag deserves our respect.

I’ve never had bad service or wine from them. They are responsive to shipping requests and I double check the pricing with wine searcher. Everyone with half a sense knows not to trust the retail pricing. I also only shop for labels that are well known and there are reviews for on CT and other websites.

It was only up for 30 seconds or so last week but the 2010 Penfolds Grange for $399 was a nice surprise.

Looks like Jonathan Newman is Baaaaack!

"From a stellar Domaine and the famed single Clos Mollepierres, the ultimate white Burgundy Chardonnay for the summer with the perfect taste profile.

91-92 Points - Jonathan H. Newman!
“This single vineyard has 30 year-old vines that produce a wine with a particularly refreshing tension. A nicely finessed palate of Asian pear, melon, lychee, white flowers and key lime with touches of honeysuckle and vanilla with that hallmark minerality” 6-16-2016

2013 Caymus SS for $149.99. Deal? I’m not buying but curious what others think. No tax or shipping .

Wow, 2012 La Chablisienne Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles Château Grenouilles for $49@ including shipping. flirtysmile

Andrew Will 2011 field du cheval for 34.99 qualifies as very nice deal. I know some on this board were recently discussing these wines.

Just grabbed three of the Liquid Sky Cabs, some decent reviews for an $25 bottle

Just got an email this morning that my wine has shipped. I check the tracking number and it was the FedEx delivery I missed yesterday because I was not expecting it. I was upset with HDH because I thought their Friday delivery showed up a day early. Should have known better.

Are they going to deliver today?

Allegedly

Just bought 4 X 2012 Robert Stemmler Carneros Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir .

Seems like a good buy

Funny to see a fairly negative tasting note from a wine magazine shown on their site for a wine they are selling:

“this suffers from leathery anise-inflected flavors and aromas that border on barnyard earthiness, with a sourness to the finish.”

2005 Yquem up at $299
