Terry, perhaps you can investigate “Murder by Numbers,” my second favorite track from 1983’s monster Synchronicity album by The Police. (My favorite is the bonkers “Synchronicity II.”)
I really like the overall jazz/noir vibe of the music, and Sting’s smoky, detached vocals are nicely restrained. But my favorite part is the introduction. Stewart Copeland opens with a simple rhythm that never quite reveals the downbeat. When Sting’s vocals finally begin, it causes a bit of cognitive dissonance. He isn’t on the downbeat, either! Or is he? It’s not until Andy Summers shows up when the whole thing swings together. Very enjoyable.
(A lot of modern prog bands play on this; the drummer plays one time signature while the rest of the band plays another.)
I thought the Bosch’s without heated drying opened the door automatically. Our Bosch has heated drying and the upper rack accommodates 4 wine glasses. Previous dishwashers wouldn’t accommodate wine glasses. The dishwasher does a good job with decanters.
The Miele accommodates 6 in the normal bottom rack, however, we bought a plastic rack from the thrift store that fits perfectly that will allow you to wash 25 stems at a time in the bottom of the Miele.
Hmmmm…I have to admit, this isn’t the content I expected to see in a thread about Dry January. But maybe the lack of alcohol is disrupting one’s thinking.
Usually water for me. I have sushi all the time at home; it’s the easiest food to make, zero prep, just toss frozen sushi grade fish in the fridge the night before, all you have to do is slice.
Even when I’m not in a dry period, I rarely drink alcohol with sushi. Sometimes sake if I’m out with others who want it. Usually I stick with water, or sometimes green tea. This is probably the lowest-temptation food for me when it comes to alcohol.
