Official Costco Thread

St. Louis isn’t good either. In fact, the quality of selection seems to have declined in the past year or two.

I usually shop at the RWC location, but I’ve actually found the Mountain View location to have the crazy one-offs that are just eye candy for me. Last year they were selling an 8 bottle collection of 2014 DRC for $31999.99 (1 romanee-conti, 3 la tache, 2 st-vivant, and 2 richebourg), a 5 bottle set of Bond in OWC, and a bottle of chateau petrus all at the same time!

Wow i know where I’m going tomorrow. Was it in the glass case or was it in the bins and how many they had.

In the glass case. Item#37619. Good luck!

Just saw 2016 Sassicaia at the West Plano (Dallas) location yesterday for the same price. Looks to be about $60 under the market price for this wine…I picked up a couple.

2014 chateau l’argentyre haut medoc $10 in NW Connecticut. A case buy.

Waiting for my local to restock on chateau capbern and Lilian Ladouys.

2016 Lafite, $699

Seattle Costco

I love Costco.

2008 Dom Perignon $141.75
NV Billecart-Salmon Rose 375 $36
2016 Patient Cotat Sancerre Ancienne Vines $28

Got some 2015 Vietti Castiglione for $43 at Alameden

Just picked up a couple of bottle of 2016 Double Diamond ($39.98) based on good reviews and the tie to the Schrader label.

Saw a Cristal '09 for only CAD 245, i.e. USD185 :astonished: at Costco Calgary, Alberta

2015 Newton Cabernet Sauvignon Unfiltered $29.97 in MN. Not really my style of Cab but good price.

Maison L’Envoye Morgon Cote du Py 2017 $13 and Northstar Merlot 2014 for $15 at South 4th Seattle

Don’t get your hopes high that it is bargain Schrader. I was very disappointed but hope you feel differently!

#471 had these today

2014 Marques de Murrieta [Rioja Reserva] $18
2015 Pitray [Cotes de Bordeaux] $10
2015 Chemin Royal [Moulis] $13

I’ve had some terrible Pitrays from the 90’s back when it was a Cotes des Castillon…but I would bet those 15’s are ok…especially considering the ten spot cost.

Maybe an ok price for the Murrieta, but I was picking up 2010 for $20, so no need for those.

Also you might see these in your local warehouse, $2 per glass, sold in packs of 8

Seems to be USA made, rims are a touch thicker than Nachtmanns or Spiegelau dishwasher safe glasses.

These would be good gifts for family members who do not have good stemware, so when you’re visiting you can leave these behind.

Producer is ARC, who I don’t recognize. They are a touch on the small side, but I’d have no problem using them. These would be very good for a white wine glass in the F&B trade.

Chateau Montrose st estephe 2015

Signorello Estate Cab 2014 for $49.99 at the Foster City Costo. They had at least few cases before I left this afternoon

The laws have changed slightly but not much to do with beer sales. I don’t fully understand it, but stores like Costco and Total Wine can sale all types of alcohol as long as there is a local liquor store within a certain distance. Or a certain amount of local stores in a given area. I’m not really sure. I still try to support my friend Joe at the local Lukas Liquors store. But it’s hard to beat Costco sometimes.

Got the last Ch. Figeac at Park Meadows Costco Denver for just over $200. Total wine, literally a block away, is $270
