That Malescot is good - besides the bottles remaining in bin, I saw an OWC underneath and picked it up - $39.97 each. Offering at stores around the Twin Cities have been pretty woeful.
Same down here in IA…I’ve been trying to copy Guillermo but haven’t had any luck finding the buyer for our area.
Seattle Sodo has 19 Ducru for $144.99.
Santa Rosa, CA has little Bordeaux at the moment, other than 2016 Ch. Chauvin @ $31.99.
Oh, and they had 2021 Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis Sainte Claire for $18.99, and a pile of Faiveley Bourgogne (don’t remember vintage) for the same price.
No Wagyu, alas.
I went to Costco in Gypsum Colorado, plenty of 2019 Bdx like Palmer, LLC, Cos, Le Petit Cheval, Vieux Certan. I picked up some Clinet, Alter Ego and D’ Issan. My kids might drink them.
Burnsville, MN has the 2019 Pape Clement for 79.99. I took 4 and there were about 24 left. I do not know if there were more behind the scenes.
Although it has plenty of room to grow, the d’Issan is delicious now.
#438 was pretty barren today, unf.
Brian, Mel Hill and I drank one and it was quite good after a 2 hour decant.
Hi Steve! Do you remember how much the VCC was? Haven’t seen or heard of that in a Costco before.
$200
Good price. I hope if I am faced with that opportunity I would buy one or two.
I would get you some but the Costco is 4 hours away.
More than that for me!! Plus you never come back to WA anymore.
Hey, Seafoodfest the end of May.
FWIW, I sold my Riedel stemless champagne glasses that came with the Costco Dom gift set deal on Amazon via FBA. Netted about $25 per set, bringing by bottle cost to ~$135.
Did not know that until now…
Pm sent.
As an update, the replacement bottle I picked up this weekend was really nice with ribeyes on Sunday…definitely a good buy for my palate. The rest of the Bordeaux selection was the same in SLO. No Wagyu to be seen.
