Balthazar SOHO $50. Not a big increase from last few years.
Burgundy glass upon request
Interesting policy at Delmonico’s. It used to be $50 corkage before they reopened so I took a bottle just in case as we had made a last minute reservation. Asked the waitress and she says you have to email the wine director to have your bottle approved and that it would be $150 corkage. I didn’t get the feeling that she was 100% that was the policy.
Ended up ordering a Bereche and Cantemerle off their list.
Yeah I feel like for a lot of places listed here, there is no real formal policy. It depends on who you talk to, if the restaurant is busy that night, it you are nice to them… it all really depends lol
Italian restaurant Misi corkage $45
Cote, $65 per bottle. Great time.
Redeye Grill across from Carnegie Hall. Quoted $55 but charged $45. Nice stems and friendly service. Big bustling bistro with terrific seafood and steaks. Live piano player weekends. Opera Saturday nights in the back room with no cover charge. Restaurant is on InKind.
Al Fiori on Monday has capped at 2 bottles per table and corkage otherwise $75. Thankfully, let us open our 4 bottles. We were also told cannot do multiple glasses or decanters the next time we were there. Restaurant was less than half filled. Food and service was otherwise great.
Keens steakhouse $30.
