Tuesdays are tough! Marta or other USHG restaurants are good options with reasonable corkage. Or Wu’s!

I was given the following dining options by a friend who is hosting me in NYC. I called and checked corkage. I thought I would share. I think they are all UES spots. If anyone has any opinions on my options, please don’t hesitate to chime in.

Al Badawi - free corkage

Hawksmoor has $10/bottle corkage on Mondays regardless of size.
I haven’t been in a couple of years but Left Bank used to have corkage free Mondays so it might be worth a call to check.

Just for the record, I haven’t maintained this thread since late 2019 / early 2020. Please check in with the restaurant to see if they allow BYO, and what the cost is.

Reading this thread really makes miss NYC. You can find anything there, with quakity.

Balvanera no corkage Monday.
Marta is $25 all the time which is quite reasonable.

Any idea what GEM’s corkage policy is.
AlsoI have reservations at Perry Street for this weekend but they limit corkage to 2 bottles.
Can anyone recommend a good place that doesn’t have a strict limit?
Thanks

Hawksmoor in Gramercy has unlimited $10 corkage (any size bottle) on Mondays.

Gem is $50 limit 2
Claud is $55 limit 2
Semma is $55 no limit
Rule of thirds is $35 limit 2
Rezdora is $65 limit 2

Angaletto, 2nd and 47th. $25. Carefully cooked house made pasta. Roman chef. Traditional atmosphere.
Milling Room --UWS 80’s. – $45.

Do you know if the Milling Room still does no corkage Tuesdays?

Noreetuh is now $30 on weekdays / $10 on Sunday.

I didn’t ask the Milling Room about free corkage.

Stumbled on One Fifth’s website where they highlight $10 corkage on Mondays. Haven’t been but this would encourage me to try it.

For tasting evenings, if you bring 2-3 bottles each, even cheap corkage adds up… Most places have limits.

You know - I’d love some medium-end place ; some place with some classic European cooking that goes with great wines (duck? foie? delicate fish/seafood?), and that offered a good cheese plate … on an off-peak-night to offer something like: “bring what you want: $30/pp,”. Or “$100/table corkage charge” .

I love Balvanera, but I’ve been there a lot. Where else? Hawksmoor is the closest to this, but only-steak, and tbh, when I was there, the douche-factor was high.
