New York City, aka Manhattan and the boroughs BYO

Clocktower $65

How was the meal?

Pretty good. Great lobby bar entrance to the building, cozy ambience in the restaurant. Entrees were a little rich, but I also couldn’t try most of them as it wasn’t very gluten free friendly (flour in the potatoes and many sauces).

Ammos no corkage fee on Mondays and Saturday, as long as the wine isn’t on their list

Thanks, Brent. Saw some of your posts at the other social media site and food photos at Biricchino looks good. I hope to give it a shot soon.

The Omakase deal comes with a bottle of sake. Curious if you’d recommend I bring a bottle of wine (thinking champagne) or if the included sake pairing would likely go better with the food? They told me $25 for BYOB

Champagne will work

Don Antonio Pizza - anyone done BYOB at either the Times Square or Hell’s Kitchen locations?

No, but restaurants are increasingly flexible now. A friendly question may elicit a welcome answer.

One Rome-styled pasta restaurant here had been a pre-Covid favorite, but stopped its no-fee BYOW in early 2020. Diners could only order from the wine list. Beforehand, the place had been packed, with waitstaffs collecting ample tips. Business fell precipitously, because of both the change and the pandemic. It recently re-allowed BYOW, albeit with a new $25 weekday and $35 weekend.

^^ This^^. No harm in asking, politely.

If TS/HK locations are still the preferred, B Squared Pizza on 9th Ave is friendly with byob bottles ($20 per last time I went, pre-pandemic). Neapolitan pizza and pasta were enjoyed. Got busy after 7 pm.

$45 for 2 bottles at antons in the west village. very friendly staff…very solid food. ive avoided this place for some reason despite living in the area. ill be back. very solid neighborhood hang with good food.

B Squared is phenomenal! Even if it didn’t have a BYO policy

NORMA (2 locations, 53rd & 9th in HK and 30th & 3rd in Kip’s Bay) is $45/bot Great Pizza and Sicilian fare.
