Reporting in for Jan and Feb, 2026. I was off line much of early Feb trapsing across Alaska and Yukon helping family move from Haines to Fairbanks, AK. Very cold and not so fun driving.

Anyway:

January, 2026

Purchased: 12 (BD17 only purchases)
Consumed: 30
Net : -18

February, 2026

Purchased: 0 (we did buy and consume a few bottles/boxes in Alaska, but not tracked)
Consumed: 15
Net: -15

YTD:
Purchased: 12
Consumed: 45
Net: -33

A few spring club shipments are hitting already for early March, but I did drop/decline one club, and have cut back on a couple others (6 bottles per shipment instead of 12, for example). Need to keep trimming, and stay on the Moratorium wagon.

A confession session for January and February, can’t even explain it away with a break drinking any alcohol. The worst is that I’m not even really sorry, happy with the wines! Have perhaps 3 more planned orders for the year…

Back to some sort of discipline for rest of the year.

In: +50

Out: - 26

Total = + 24

It’s the unplanned ones that will kill you…

I know Chris, discipline discipline… hanging around this site is probably one of the best character training!

On a separate note, you’d be happy to see some of the bottles that found their way home :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::wine_glass:

Interesting. I’ve found that hanging around this site is the worst methods for inventory reduction.

We said more or less exactly the same thing :joy:

So tell me what you got so I can start worrying about what I don’t have.

Not sure I want to be responsible for a shopping spree in this thread

Just had three more Weinboxes delivered.

Left a message for my therapist . . . who hasn’t returned any of my calls and apparently believes I am beyond help.

She may be onto something . . . .

We were traveling for several weeks in Jan/Feb which strangely enough impacted my buying more than my consuming!

February:
In: 0
Out: 8
Net: -8 (best month in a long time)

I think I just need to drink down some of my larger holdings. Like many, I just fell into habits of buying certain producers that I like but then end up with too many bottles for my own good. Lately, I have been working on my Rochioli collection. I mean I occasionally like a bottle of new world Pinot - especially with Sushi but I don’t need 120 bottles! And must stop buying!!!
