In + 7 ; Out - 16. Net - 9. YTD + 132. The slow receding of the BD flood begins.

Next month will be tough as it is all Lenten abstinence, like the last week and a half of Feb have been.

Down a case

Snuck in a Bucklin order this week or this would’ve been a larger spread.

March will be a tougher month with some nice releases and a Napa visit.

Another failure of a month. Dry January shifted into Damp February, only drinking starting with our trip to Europe/London when we were mostly not drinking from the cellar.

Before I give stats, a point of order: do beer and spirits count? I am afraid they do. I was surprised to see how many bottles CT said were purchased until I remembered that Jonathan bought beer, whisky and grapa during the trip.

+11 for the month
-1 for the year

But to some extent thus is a failure of attention rather than will

My prearrival roederer 244 magnums arrived in the US this month and I discovered that rather than the 6 bottle case I thought I had bought (and shared with friends) i had actually ordered a 12 bottle case. Good, thing I love the wine…

A successful month …

But the 10 in were all whites and champagne purchased from a supermarket, closing down at greatly discounted prices and went straight into the refrigerator not the cellar so they don’t really count

Hmmm…of I have to count beer and whisky, seems only fair that real wine doesn’t count, just because you don’t respect it!

It’s a smaller collection, so I don’t feel too bad about the disparity just yet.

I respect those wines so much that I can’t wait to drink them and so I don’t bother to put them in inventory

February: 17 out, 26 in - net 9 increase. Slipping on the slippery slope; gifts, charity auction, can’t-miss spring releases. Have to buckle down hard in March.

Seven in, only four out (unless I drink something today).

Good thing I didn’t get that lot at K&L I was bidding on.
