You should always be honest with yourself. Sometimes that means expanding the cellar and other times reducing. The most fun is of course expanding and if you have the space and means, enjoy it! When need serious reduction help, invite a bunch of Berserkers to help you out

Did a rough tally of wines waiting to be shipped this fall 2026 and came up with just over 14 cases (treating 6 mags as a “case” as I’ve got 12 mags total coming); so, 12 cases of 750s. I currently think of my little primitive passive cellar (the original “coal” room in my home built in 1922-23) as . . . full, except for some crates waiting for magnums. So, time for some wine cellar “strategery” to decide whether to order another six Weinboxes, or another nine Weinboxes, in anticipation of my cellar storage needs come fall (hears the room relentlessly chanting “Nine! Nine! Nine! Nine!”). Six-to-twelve bottles will be gifted to my daughter, twelve to my friends Maren and Nick, six to my friends George and Marguerite, and six to my daughter’s friend who I want to try some CdR wines. So that “knocks” the need for storage of an additional 12 cases down to just nine cases. I currently am drinking just a bottle each Friday and Saturday evenings and (not counting this weekend) I’ve got ten weekends until mid-October (probably the earliest anything will ship 
) so that’s another two cases of so down the gullet. So, ordered six new Weinboxes and will need to up my drinking and gifting.
Wine cellar expansion strategery. 
While my brothers and sisters here perhaps are disappointed in me for having failed to heed the group chant . . . I hopefully receive at least a modicum of credit and respect for the additional six Weinboxes that will are added to my already-full little cellar.

Out of all the posts in this thread and in the cellar reduction thread, I wonder how many report success and how many report failure to adhere to the intended increase/decrease in cellar size.
