Manwich. OMFG

Three pages. Freemont must be proud.

I hear Chicago tap water will do that to you.

You should get a time out for this offense that bans you from this forum until after the President’s Day school vacation. Dunce hat optional.

Having grown up in strictly kosher home, I have never had Manwich, Spam and a few other similar concoctions. I think I am none the worse for it.

Diabetes diagnosis makes me real big on sugar content. Heinz makes a low sugar ketchup that is very good. BBQ sauce is a problem, so I now make my own with that ketchup and sugar free “maple” syrup. Salsa can be tricky - depends on the brand. Tomatoes have more natural sugar than most veggies (remember they are fruits, not veggies) but relatively speaking, they are OK in moderation.

The bottled tomato sauce I bought at my local Shop Rite for when I’m lazy or don’t have much time:

Ingredients: Imported Italian Tomatoes, Pure Italian Olive Oil, Fresh Basil, Fresh Onions, Fresh Garlic, Sea Salt, and Spices.

They are out there

Of course my most horrifying discoveries were the guacamole which has HFCS as its first ingredient before avocadoes and the corn muffins which have sugar as its first ingredient before corn meal.

In a few years, life will get easier, when you can give them just beers and chips, without guilt. [drinkers.gif]

Tonight I made Sloppy Joes with Flannery Grind on Brioche Buns. Just sayin’.

How was it? My husband loves Sloppy Joes, and I think theyre disgusting. Flannery could be (and already has been) a marriage saver!

Actually it turned out great. The Flannery meat is much richer than regular ground beef and it adds another level of flavor and texture to the recipe.
