I much prefer amarena to luxardo.
not me–like the Lux sweetness more.
We only use Luxardos at our restaurant.
Ironic, Alan that I prefer the less sweet ones. Opposite of our wine tastes
It’s not even close…Griottines are outrageous for a Manhattan. The Amerena Fabbri are sickly sweet in comparison. Griottines are swimming in Kirsch Liquer whereas the Amerena Fabbri and Luxardo are in a sweet syrup.
The perfect Luxardo Marischino Liquer cocktail is a Last Word:
.75 Gin
.75 Green Chartreuse
.75 Maraschino
.75 Fresh Lime Juice
Shake and pour in a coupe, no garnish (but I can’t help occasionally throwing in a griottine).
Found these at Total Wine Laguna Hills last night!
I actually bought that huge can—online for less. Has about a 2 yr expiration. I’m well into it—love the cherries and old fashioneds.
Hi Time Wine in Costa Mesa always has these and only $16.99.
Yep, Total Wine in Greenville now has them!
