Last to post but LB has been blowing out Marnet sonoma pinot all afternoon/day. At least one of them was TRB made. Anyone had these? Selling for low to mid $20’s
Unfamiliar. Wines sound legit—just wish there was more information out there. Don’t think I need to pull the trigger on anything.
I grabbed 6-bottles of the Sonoma Coast Chard for $22/bottle all in…I Googled it and it sounded like a nice quaff for Summertime drinking
I’m not a Pinot or Chard drinker, but I love Zin so I grabbed some for the 2017 Mixed Blacks.

Found two bottles of Luna hiding in the back of my cooler. I did not buy a lot of this, as LB was also blowing out Yount Ridge at the same time, and I stocked up on that, but this PS is nice! Luna Atlas Peak Syrah coming up next…

Costco has the 2021 Beau Vigne Cult, $150 “suggested retail”, for $29.99. Probably a decent deal if you need wine but there are better deals out there.

Interestingly, the Kapcsandy website says this wine in 2017 was 100% new oak. So the exact natching discrepency in the first/last bottle blurbs makes it even more likely imho.
I will note that it was $89 during the marathon…

Today’s mystery wine is Daou Vineyards Seventeen Forty. That’s the year that Frederick II became the King of Prussia. No clue about the Pope Benedict reference.

1740 was also the year that Benedict XIV became pope (thanks, Wikipedia).
I’ve had this before and I think under $40 it’s a good wine. I’ll stock up as a daily drinker.

Just note that the 2021 is a very different blend from more current (2022). This one, the 21, is mostly cab franc.

And the 2021 is more like the 2019 and previous vintages, I believe. Might be a result of the sale of the winery in 2023.
