LastBottleWines.com (Last Bottle Wines) Deal Discussion Thread (Part 2)

Was sort of wondering, as I love cab franc, is it just gonna be an overripe oak bomb being from Paso. Looks like the ABV is in the mid-14s which is pretty high for CF. I’m on the fence but glad to hear it’s liked and might be worth it.

I highly recommend today’s LB offering if you’re a Cabernet fan. Fidelitas makes great wine, especially their single vineyard wines. This is a blend of Red Mtn. vineyard’s, but still great for the price! :wine_glass:

Pinot all day today with free shipping.

Anybody jumping on the Stags Leap Petite Sirah?

A bit of ‘thread drift’ (but didn’t see a separate Vivino thread)…anyone have experience or thoughts on the 2016 On Q Appassionata that Vivino currently has up for $39.99 (with add’l promo codes available)? Coombsville fruit, famous winemakers, almost $185 release price. Checks a bunch of boxes ‘on paper’, but have no experience with the label. Thoughts?

A 2016 On Q for $40 is probably a very good deal. I’ve had the 2015 and it was very good. However, they were purchased by a big conglomerate few years ago and there recent stuff has really gone down hill and is not worth the discounted price (like Beau Vigne).

I bought the 2016 3 years ago and quite enjoyed it- but the later releases were not good. But the 2016 is probably kept

Has anyone tried the Nellcote Cabernet Rutherford Reserve 2021? it was the ‘backup’ from yesterday’s Venge offer. now that Benoit is the winemaker + Georges III vineyard…seems tempting! but still a fairly high price tag

Have had the Rallye and Chevaux from ‘16 and at LastBottle low prices, they were pretty good. The glass is obnoxious. Winery also closed its doors and ‘21 May have been the last vintage?

according to ChatGPT, today’s mystery Pinot is Scribe

Interesting. Scribe offers a very nice tasting experience (great food!) but for a Carneros Pinot mystery, I would rather have Donum, Blue Farm, or Three Sticks…

Yeah, I’d agree with that. I’ve had really mixed experiences with Scribe’s wines, particularly the reds. But, wow, the tasting room experience is top-notch.

Interesting. I got Donum through Chat GPT. But, to be fair, Scribe matches better imo.

How much was this?

As of this moment, it’s still available on the site for $24/btl

The Fidelitas Cab was $25 a bottle.

Thats a good buy. I’ve had the Optu blend many times and liked it. I definitely would’ve grabbed a few. I’ll be on the lookout during the marathon.

Did you know that if you email them, and they still have it in stock, they’ll sell it to you over email? I don’t think that I saw it sell out. The more you know!

Yes, they are very responsive.

Holy smoke, $25 for that Fidelitas wine is very nice. As a vintner, one can learn a lot about what is happening out there and who might be struggling by watching this thread and LB. Someone brought me a 2018 Long Meadow Ranch Pinot Anderson Valley the other day. Very nice, starting to amber, drink now. Pleasant. $8 at Grocery Outlet. I went down there and bought 6 for a party I am attending. Hard to beat ready to drink AV Pinot at $48 per 6-pack.
