I had a 375 of the '06 on two different occasions and they were both excellent. I also had a 375 of the '05 last night and it was as fresh and delicious as they come.
I just finished my last 2004 .375 and wish I bought waaaay more.
In for 4. I had a 2000 a couple weeks ago and it was delicious. Doubt this is past its prime.
I just wish Last Bottle would let me know how much Elivette they have left so I can prepare for this year.
I think someone has asked this before, but all of these continued sales makes me wonder if Spring Mountain EVER sold any Elivette?! There seems to be an almost unlimited amount and it just keeps coming.
At $125 a pop, it would have been a tough sell.
Could it be an older review? The 98 from Decanter. It also says from Magnum. Not really a fair judgement. It says it can last 20 years or more. Iām not feeling that in regular bottles. Many tasting notes reveal some funk, earth, loamy fruit. A couple notes said past prime. Itās all in the quality of the cork and storage at this point. LB says, āProvenance assuredā. For me I have always had good communication and support from LB for corked bottles, past prime, oxidized bottles.
Review of the 2006 on the K and L site says 9/25. Just more sketchy super promotional decanter reviews.

I bought one bottle of the 2011 for $29, thought it was a fantastic deal and wrote to see if they had more.
Here is their reply:
Hi Dan,
Apologies!
We are currently sold out of that current offer, we do have other vintages available:
$40/ bottle, Spring Mountain Vineyard Red Blend Elivette Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 2006
$36/ bottle, Spring Mountain Vineyard Red Blend Elivette Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 2013
$40/ bottle, Spring Mountain Vineyard Red Blend Elivette Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 2000
$40/ bottle, Spring Mountain Vineyard Red Blend Elivette Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 2004
Hope that helps.
IIRC, the 2011 Elivette I bought gave a bottle number out of⦠I think production was about 19,000 bottles, so if they sold almost zero and LB bought it all, that qualifies as a shitload of wine, unless youāre in the KJ Chardonnay range.
Opened an 02 on Xmas Eve. Pristine cork, excellent wine maybe a touch over its life, but still great.
I have two 02 mags. I need to try one soon! Good to hear it was still enjoyable.
Good to know. I have a couple 2013s and I think they were marked in the 23k range?
They been constantly available so LB must have a bunch.
Yeah, at 20 years old, weāre clearly into bottle variation territory - and the corks on these are certainly highly variable. At any rate, the 375 of 2006 I had last November was fantastic. At these prices, Iām willing to roll the dice. I donāt think any of the Elivettes - with sound corks - are over the hill (to my taste anyway).
Keenan Cab up at First Bottle. I would try two but Iām sitting on four bottles of Chappellet from the same year.
I bought a few of the Chappellet and have had one bottle and thought it was greatā¦ā¦wish I had bought more
Those wines come from completely opposite sides of the valley
I checked it out but way above my budget at $100. It got 2 review scores of 92, which for me is not very high for the price. i did sign up for the notifications though, so thanks for the tip.
It should be $50/bottle if you buy two and free shipping with three.
Drank my first bad bottle from Last Bottle, 09 375 Elivette. They refunded me with no issues. Very impressed.
Missed the 2 for $50 each deal I guess and itās sold out now. I bought the [Keenan Red Blend Mernet Reserve Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 2020 and [ Keenan Red Blend Capstone Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 2020 in August for $42 and $26 so good for now. Will keep an eye out for higher end Keenan on LB.
I have had two bottles of the 2000 Elivette. Both delicious.
