It's The Weekend...What Is Everyone Drinking????

Be there, too. Wines undecided. Going tonight to the opener with a French Malbec rosé and a Friulano Blaufrankisch, among others.

“A white wines of the world tasting is on tap for tomorrow”

Josh, the world only contains California and France? I missed that day in geography (but then I dropped out of school in the 9th grade…)

At Susan’s late this afternoon:

Tarequet Côtes de Gascogne White
Istas Mendi Txakoli (Basque White)
A to Z Sangiovese Rosé (Oregon)
Cartlidge & Brown Pinot Noir (Monterey)
André Brunel Grenache Vaucluse
Mas de Guiot Vin de Pays de Gard

Then with dinner at home, probably a younger Zinfandel.

The rest of the weekend, who knows?

Better hold off on that Lafite as I hear it isn’t drinking very well yet.

It’s 97 degrees here in the ATL.
And humid.
Brutal.
I’m going for the 2008 Grey Stack Sauv Blanc tonight.
Either that or a few margaritas.

I just scored some 750mL bottles of Belgian Ale for $8 each at Costco. Tonight will be Duvel, St. Bernardus, Maresdous and Chimay Blue.

yeah, with all that ‘pre-perplexia’ stuff and all.

Tonight – 2007 Boulay Chavignol and 2005 K Vintners Cougars Hills

Father’s Day – 2006 Donnhoff GG and either an 06 Cayuse En Chamberlin or an 06 Saxum Broken Stones

I see your

and I raise you

Bill, I used to have a fantastic wine cartoon that showed two guys tasting the SAME wine at a shop’s tasting bar. Each had a balloon over their heads with their comments:

Jesus CHRIST! This shit smells like ASS!

and

Oh…my GAWD! This wine smells like…Aaaaaaaaaasssssssss!

That was for HIS Burgs and CdP’s.

Tonight, about 20 California Cabernets from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s! Looking forward to it . . . [cheers.gif]

Hey Brian,

Please post notes, I’m curious about the Delagrange and the Bachey-Legros, I may end up tasting that Bachey-Legros this weekend as well. I don’t expect a barnburner but it’s not exactly an expensive wine either and I hope it will be nice.

Josh

The Margan is Aussie. We have a New Zealand SB (Kim Crawford), an Aussie Rhone blend (D’Arenberg), a German Riesling (Donnhoff), a Finger Lakes Riesling (Herman Wiemer), a white Madeira and possibly a Romanian sweet wine on tap. I just listed some notables highlights.

So there!

I’m no fan of

But I usually end up with bottles of

instead of bottles of

I think Josh is doin’ it wrong.

I got nothing against your wine Bill, just inspired by Chris and running with it, doing mundane shit at work all day long.
