I’m boycotting them with Hank and now Jay.
They really pissed me off in the tasting room with their elitist attitudes and as a longtime customer they wouldn’t even open up the Valdiguié for me.
I’m partial to the buttered popcorn and mega-purple flavors. Look forward to the “fois gras upchuck” flavor…coming out soon.
My biggest regret? Not buying more magnums when they were still available back in 2009. I’ve been disappointed with how these age in the regular format.
I know! And that’s despite the $30 tasting fee. At least they throw in a free case of wine as a gift.

I always seem to pick up peanut butter pretzel notes whenever I have the good fortune (!) of cracking a Charles Shaw. Funny, that.
