How many bottles in your cellar? (new poll)

Many of the prior polls on this are 2-10 years old, and now that my BerserkerDay 14 purchases are coming in, I again cringe at my lack of space and seemingly ever-growing cellar size. Time for a new poll…and time to start drinking more of my wines!

(yes, I know it sorts by most popular…that’s just how the system works)

I put 0-500 but I’m right around 500 give or take.

It is pretty startling when you stop and look at your number.

I started the poll by being startled at the number…and not finding space for still 30 more bottles coming!!!

My friends who aren’t wine nerds think my modest 250-bottle collection is enormous. I will say, though, that as I’ve begun reading/engaging here more frequently, I’ve certainly picked up my buying pace.

My wife thinks it’s obscene, and she thinks I have about half what I actually have

That’s the Berserker Disease. We all suffer from it. There is no vaccine.

Sometimes too many, sometimes not enough :man_shrugging:

I wish I had my current number of bottles -over 2000- when I was 40 years old. I should at my age have only the number I had then- about 500 bottles.

I did, but in the last 30 minutes my pending list went to 0 for the first time in 4 years. sigh of relief…before my next pre-arrival order

~1,200 and very much (too much) on the upward trajectory.

Not while it’s still a working gym and we have a teenage boy in the house…but if I do, I LOVE these units from Wine Enthusiast, and will fill it with these

Just do a wall of 4 of them, should be good to go

515 and trying to level off, which is easier said than done in this community of enablers. Having no storage and currently low consumptions habits are the only impediments keeping me from continued acquisition.

This is my main issue - I rarely drink during the week, and often end up with some form of whiskey lately instead of wine. I’m now committed to #drinkmorewine

Exactly my problem too, and my wife rarely drinks wine, so it’s just me. It always comes down to one glass of scotch is logistically so much easier than drinking a bottle of wine over three days.

ok, three days? Come on, man!!

I have taken to putting half the bottle immediately into a half bottle and put in the fridge, thus assuring I drink only half the bottle, and preserving the other half for a couple days if needed
