upregulates ALDH and ADH in the liver; has some effects in the gut as well.
Not really a supplement⦠Age (of drinker not the wine!).
As Iāve gotten older I find I rarely get headache type hangovers. No controlled experiment alas so I donāt know if thatās increased wisdom in the quantity or variety of drinks consumed or some ageing physiology. Iām maybe more conscientious at drinking water as I go along.
Hereās some biometric data for comparison. Had a couple glasses of champagne without any supplements. Sleep was pretty good but you can see mild effects on readiness.
Resting heart rate is usually 48-50 and went to 63, and HRV usually 50-60 but went to 35.
Tried adding Myrkl to my routine for the first time this week. TL;DR itās a game changer.
My most recent routine is electrolytes and 1 qt water 1-2 hours before. (I also drink 2 qt water daily so Iām already well hydrated.) Then Zbiotics, 2 Wine Fix and 2 Myrkl right before first drink. Had a typical 5 bottles for 4 people, so somewhere around 6-7 drinks. Then 3 Wine Fix plus electrolytes and 16 oz water before bed.
With Zbiotics I already had been feeling less affected and a clearer mind while drinking and this continued adding Myrkl. However, I did make some notes in my phone that I forgot about making when I stumbled on them the next day, so itās not like I was sober. So whether or not I actually was less affected is unknown.
Slept absolutely beautifully, low resting heart rate, the one time I did wake up to use the facilities, I went right back to sleep. Next day I felt zero side effects. Now usually after one of these bigger dinners, even if I feel fine, I donāt really feel like drinking the next day. But probably the most telling fact is I felt fresh and ready for another 3 glasses the following night.
Yeah the Myrkl is clutch.
Iām trying a 3 day preload of Myrkl before our next event tomorrow and will try a 1 week preload before La Paulee.
I have found ZBiotics to be completely worthless when I travel but forget to put any in my bag. YMMV, of course.
Where Iāve got it so far: do a Zbiotic + Myrkl 1-2 hours before drinking. Waterboy that evening. In the AM I am hung over, but it goes away significantly with another Waterboy in the morning. It doesnāt feel as āno impactā as some here, although my tolerance is lower (2 bottles for 2 people can end up being āa lotā for me).
I should probably do a night without Zbiotics/Mrykl and just Waterboys to get the hydration only base line.
30% off of Myrkl currently using code TRYMYRKL (affiliate link included)
is Myrkl āResisterā the same product / new branding?
Only thing about that is you still have to pay shipping, so itās ~$30 for 15. If you sign up for a subscription you get 33% off plus free shipping (~$23 for 15) and then you can āpauseā your subscription indefinitely until you want to order again.
My subscription was renamed to Myrkl Resist, so it seems so.
Yes I believe so
Yeah and you can use that link to subscribe if you want.
So the myrkyl work well alone or do I need to stack with other supplements? Was thinking of taking something for the Paulee marathon.
I tbink it works on its own, but is likely more effective with other supplements.
I just bought my first order of Myrkl. Lately Iāve been feeling the effects of alcohol more and more so interested to see if this does anything for me. With a subscription, itās like $1.50 a dose so pretty reasonable even if the benefits are marginal I suppose.
I started Myrkl on Friday morning and took 3 total doses before the wine dinner last night and it was very effective. I felt great this morning. Gonna take it for a week before La Paulee.
I did āthe whole enchiladaā before a Syrah tasting last night: a liter of Waterboy electrolytes, two Wine Fix, Myrkl and Z-biotics before drinking, and a couple of Wine Fix after. My sleep wasnāt great, although itās not much different from the rest of the week after some international travel. My resting heart rate was very mildly elevated, although again consistent with the rest of the week, and my recovery index was normal. Iām a believer for sure.
Same here. I mean how do you start taking it before drinking when youāre drinking all day, lol.
