Has anyone eaten Buffalo Wild Wings?

I have not

Curious

Sure, it’s fine nothing special, I like it as a place I can get a decent amount of protein without breaking the bank.

Can be variable more than some other chains imho, have been to some very vibrant ones with a lot of decent draft selections, and some very generic ones. Would prefer a local spot most of the time unless you don’t know the area.

I had it once. It’s ok
They’ve been opening a bunch of the takeout stores around here so we did takeout. Never been to an actual restaurant version

The 2nd location was at Ohio State. We ate there every Tues when it was 15 cent wing night starting off. Im sure I’ve eaten there over 500 times since 1991.
They even had one in downtown Steamboat Springs that I would go to in the late 90’s.

My buddy and I actually sat down with them about opening one up in 1996/7. You needed a million bucks as they were starting to go to this super large format. Who has that kind of collateral right out of college?

I still like the wings when they are done right, but most of the time they aren’t, at least around here.
They have always had kind of small wings but they always throw in a couple tiny overcooked ones that shouldn’t be served when they are charging $1.50 per wing now.

I buy the Wild and Blazin (now d/c) sauce and make them at home now to get my nostalgia fix.

At this point there are a lot of local dive bars that have better chicken, but I’ll always have a soft spot for their aroma (must be the grease?) and sauce.

I ate at the one here in Cheyenne. Probably over a decade ago. It sucked.

I haven’t as I keep hearing horror stories about the customer service of the local ones. Looking at Yelp, the three closest locations have scores of 2.1, 2.1, and 1.7, which isn’t encouraging.

It’s a massive restaurant chain. Expect mediocrity just like cheesecake factory, pf changs, olive garden, and all the rest.

It’s true at this point, my point of peak reference is long gone as most of my visits were when it was more of a bar.

I still occasionally check in but it’s more miss these days that are local to me.
I know of one that’s very well run and maintained ect but I’m not driving 30 min for BW3

They closed the one closest to me 6mo ago that was not the current design and opened up an Express. Tried it once a month ago and it was so bad I sent a complaint. Never heard back.

This from a guy who drinks Tete du cuvées as everyday drinkers?

Yep. Everyday drinkers isn’t a very good way to describe my drinking though, the last bottle I opened was on December 5,

When visiting our daughter, we’ve stayed in New Roc City, across from a Buffalo Wild Wings and an Applebee’s, neither of which I’d ever visited before. My only comment is that BWW>Applebee’s, although date night at Applebee’s is much more entertaining than BWW. I can’t comment about the food at either, but they pour generous cocktails; Applebee’s serves some in buckets (which look like toxic waste). More and bigger screens at BWW, so I go there.

Keep an eye out for CM Chicken (Choong Man Chicken) which seems to be a new chain, so far in Chicago area, NJ and soon in Philly. Delicious Korean wings …Im lucky to have them nearby.

I’ve had BWW and they were ok but just … seriously, see if you have a Korean wing joint instead or a City Barbecue spot (good sauce options)

Never have I ever

I saw a buzzfeed clip about ‘best fast food fries’ and they claimed BWW used pure beef suet to fry their French fries in, but I’ve never been there.

I’m sorry to hear that, especially with an inventory like you obviously have. I hope that everything is okay.

You can go to a wing joint, watch the big tv’s and resist any urge to try a small order of 6 wings?

Our brains must be wired opposite :joy:

Things are wonderful, I just don’t drink much these days. Just every month or two for events and at the occasional dinner.

Their advertising must be working during those football games! Last night during the KC/ Buffalo game my husband said maybe we should give them another try. We haven’t been there in probably 10+ years and I recall our last experience being one where we said “that was awful, never going back.”

Oh, I eat plenty of wings in the area, just not there.
