Maiden jumped up to $450/bottle 3pkā¦ Harlan (I think able to order singles). I believe kept the same at $1200 (plus shipping and tax)

Regarding Maiden - certainly appears better to purchase aftermarket. Looks like plenty of availability in the $300 range.
If I wanted to drop $1.5K on a 750ml bottle of wine (and I donāt, to be sure), there are better choices out there, like an aged M-G Chambertin or something.

The wait list is also very short. I got offered allocation after ~1yr or less. Given secondary market prices and availability this one is an easy pass

My top 3 purchase categories are (in order) White Burg, Champagne and Red Burg ā¦ but I still buy Harlan. Itās great wine (especially before ā97 and after ā18) and an exceptional visit. Harlan family - across the portfolio - is very generous with allowing members to bring guests to tastings and pouring some great wines. I just brought 4 guests to Bond last month (at no cost to anyone). We split a bottle of Krug to start, tasted several wines from barrel, tasted each wine from the current vintage and then tasted a library bottle. Very few producers are that generous with their visits.

Very few people are afforded that generosity either. You canāt even find Harlan on Google Maps.

With prices like theirs, they can certainly afford to be generous! Their visits sound wonderful, and by all accounts the wine is too.
I tried Harlan 2019 at PNV back in 2023. Wine is fine but I donāt get the hype at that price, maybe I am missing somethingā¦

That is a great perk. I have dropped (obviously) way less dollar producers who raised prices partly because you could never visit.

That was my exact thought when I went and did a tasting at promontory. Absolutely stunningly beautiful property though. Anyone that greets me with a glass of Dom is okay in my book, lol.

How long had you been buying your allocation before you got that opportunity?
How are the Harlanās from the early nineties aging?

AFAIK, any active member of the mailing list is eligible to request a visit.
So if I were to buy some this year, I could request a visit for my trip to Napa next year? That would be pretty freaking sweet. How does Harlan Estate compare to the bond and promontory properties?

Bond and Harlan are closed to the public. Promontory is open and has an official tasting and cost.
No clue - only have had it from later vintages.
