Hello and Welcome to Berserker Day 16!
Thank you for visiting the Goodfellow BD 16 offer thread, as always, we deeply appreciate the support of this community. It is extremely hard to correctly express how much this community has meant to the success of Goodfellow wines.
This year’s offers include a few of our favorite wines we have available, some excellent sparking futures, and two Berserker Cuvees that are informed by what we have learned and experienced from this last year of reading and posting. In the end, we believe that wine needs to be both magical and a value.
For anyone new to Goodfellow Family Cellars, we are a husband-and-wife team located in McMinnville, Oregon. The wines reflect the terroir of the place they were grown, and are an homage to the more traditional wines of the old world. Featuring moderate fruit, distinct tannin and acidity, as well as lower alcohols.
Berserker Day 16 shipping is $40 flat rate/box (up to 12 bottles) to the continental United States, either via cold chain or ground shipping, weather permitting. (Please note that the sparkling futures and the Berserker Cuvees ship later, due to release and bottling dates as stated in the offers.) We ship to most states where it is legal to do so, but please reach out if you have any questions about your state.
For ordering, as always: please email orders to marcus@goodfellowfamilycellars.com, or post your order in the thread (it can take us a while to respond on the thread but we will get to it.

The 2022 Heritage wines strike that perfect balance between delicate, elegant, and transparent and structured, coiled, and intense. They’re already compelling and layered but 7-8 years in the cellar should bring them to a youthful maturity. 20-25 years in the cellar should bring about a remarkable transformation. Youthful now, these wines show all the intensity, quality, and terroir that one would hope for in world class Pinot Noir. For detailed notes on these wines follow the link here.
And finally our Berserker Day 16 Exclusives!
2023 Goodfellow Berserker Cuvée Chardonnay
$210 6-pack price or $360 12-bottle case price
(bottled end of March and ships as weather permits post bottling)
Hallelujah! Vintage 2023 has given us our first normal crop load at Whistling Ridge since 2019. The 2023 Berserker Cuvée is 100% Whistling Ridge Chardonnay, a combination of the heirloom clones obtained from the Clos Electrique vineyard and the original Dijon clone planting up at the vineyard. The2023 Berserker Cuvée was raised in neutral 400L puncheon and neutral barrique, aged 18 months. The wine is expressive, precise, lighter bodied yet textural in the way that fruit from Whistling Ridge excels at. Lemony and layered, a hint of sea spray and leesy notes. This will be a less reductive version of the Berserker Cuvee than the two previous bottlings, but still maintains a touch of the salinity intrinsic to Whistling Ridge. 11.5% abv
2023 Goodfellow Berserker Cuvée Pinot Noir
$168 6-pack price / $264 12-bottle case price
(bottled end of March 2025 and ships as weather permits post bottling)
2023 is a gift from Mother Nature. Quality is very high, yields are very good. We picked up new sites in 2021 and 2022 due to the small size of the crop loads, and in 2023 we stuck by those growers and kept working with the sites. In short, we have a plethora of riches this year and more fruit than we have had in 5 years. Acreage fruit pricing was moderated by good yields and we decided to declassify some of the extra barrels and put together a Berserker Cuvee that would set a bar for QPR. The wine is a combination of Whistling Ridge, Durant, Bednarik, and Fir Crest fruit, the vintage is a lovely combination of finesse and expressiveness. Fruit is very pure, weight is more silk than velvet, tannins are fine, and acids are bright and juicy. Drinking window from 2026-2036(and possibly beyond) 12.9% abv.
And just to add one more item. We did not make a Rosé this year, but we do have a few more cases of 2023left. If you would like to add a 6-pack, we’re happy to do that for the original release price from last year. BD 16 6-pack $120**
As always thank you for your support!
