This is indeed classic (happens a lot with Chardonnay, since it’s also a common misconception with many Champagnes).
I checked the vintage I bought and it was the 2006. Maybe (likely, actually) that there was indeed no oak, in which case my mistake. I still didn’t like it, but not for the reason I thought
And I’m not against oak, but with a delicate grape like aligoté I find it can easily overpower it. I’ll try Goisot’s Aligoté again at the first opportunity.
