Thanks Arian-- Vosne-Romanée being one of my favorite appélations (along with Nuits St Georges, but I don’t strive get that level of structure). I use neutral barrels— this gives this wine a velvet/softer structure and texture, derived from the whole cluster ferments. I feel like this approach allows for more floral/rose aromatics, which I love.

This is a barrel select cuvée from our 5 favorite barrels; 2 of them were whole cluster fermented, 3 destemmed. Pommard, Wadensvil and Dijon 114 and 777 clones for Cortell-Rose Vineyard, organic practices. (Two of those barrels were 777 (one WC, one DeStem)-- it outperformed in 2021.)

Thanks Philip! Love sending wines and such to Alabama— my wife being originally from Anniston, we spent lots of time there over the years. Such a beautiful State

In for a case. We have loved every single wine, vermouth, and cider we’ve had in past years and can’t wait to get more!

:+1: I hope to be known for the excellence of my Pinots, Chard, and coming soon Sparkling : ) but vermouth and cider is a fun challenge in different ways and I just had to do it. I have always been fascinated by those magic alpine elixirs from France, Italy and Spain — thus trying my hand at being the alchemist vermouth guy. Fun thing about this one is that it keeps opening distribution doors. Just this last month got a new distributor in NoCA because of her initial interest in the vermouth— then she fell in love with the Pinots and Chard : ). She just texted me about our the first placement at the SanFran Wine Trading Co! Yay! The sparkling cider has been fun in that it basically gave me years sparkling experience - I tried to get “the champagne of ciders” on the label, but the TTB said no. Apparently Miller has had that phrase on the beer side for so long that they were grandfathered in :joy:

Haha amazing! Good effort there. And yes, burying the lede - top shelf Pinot Noir and Chardonnay!! And right, I remember you mentioning sparkling too, can’t wait.

David, thank you for the additional notes. It is indeed made for standing alone or enhancing some of our favorite cocktails. Now that I’ve slept on it, and read insightful comments from other posters, I know how I’ll put together a couple of mixed cases! Thrilled you are back on WineBeserkers this year.

Such great wines. I got some of the Colette (I believe) pinot noir and white pinot noir last BD. Both are simply fabulous. Anyone who orders from David be sure to order a bottle or two of the white pinot. It’s fantastic.

Thank you!!! I was sorely tempted by the PNs but was trying to watch my spend, and so limited myself to the vermouths and ciders (which are such a delight!).

I am so excited for you to try these – best QPR is the world as a raffle right? but seriously, at 40% same IMHO (and biased) of course ; )
