Decent Trader Joes whites?

My local TJs had a stack of about 500 bottles of it. They must believe that price will sell it if nothing else. Will give it a try when I go back for the La Ferne Blanc.

I picked up 4 bottles of La Ferme Julien today, with the fresh vintage of 2009, wow.

I picked one up at Laguna Hills to try today as well. It has more minerality than I like, I think. Or…whatever that profile is I find it a little rough in Chardonnay as well.

Another Bronco entry apparently [http://www.trademarkia.com/green-fin-77792795.html]. I think it’s $4.99 here in SoCal and I saw a post somewhere that it was $2.99 in Oregon. Didn’t notice any in the TJs I was in today… next time.

Typical white Rhone nose with a more New World fruity character than a waxy one. Fresh but not very big. Palate is on the watery side needed concentration but the fruit has pleasing flavors without any flaws. Juicy with some acids and fairly even across the palate. The lack of concentration is very evident but for $5 it does pretty well actually.

Well,

I just picked up the '09 vintage because I needed a marinade. For the $5 or so fee, I thought the '08 was outstanding. The '09 does not rise to the same level. Less crisp, (flabby), and finishes with a bitterness that I am not a fan of, so I would grab the '08s if you still see em.
