Wow, old Armagnac is pretty nice. Though I’m not sure anything would weather 200+ years very well.
My mystery case contained the following:
487 23 Rose
486 23 napa Chard
471 22 Carneros chard
391 22 Monterey Pinot
444 22 Sonoma Coast Pinot
510 23 RRV Pinot
527 22 Mt Veeder Cab (2)
457 22 Sonoma Cab (2)
447 22 Red Hills Cab (2)
I’m not familiar with any of these.
Ron,
I like,
Lot 447 | 2022 Red Hills Cabernet Sauvignon
My very first dN 2022 vintage wine. 15 months bottled, 1/12, PnP. Well I’m very pleased with this wine. After enjoying lot #193 2019 Lake County/Red Hills Cabernet, I was looking forward to this one. I had hopes, it would be equally as good. Deep, dark fruited, ripe (14.7%) & leathery. I believe that I may prefer this to the 2019 #193. More complexity here. I was both surprised, and pleased that this was drinking so well this young. I’m gonna give it a young double yum, at $159/delivered, This was a great deal. with Pork Chops

Enjoy!
Anyone trying Lot 270 | 2019 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir? Though bottled April 4, 2022 and I had it marked for trying again in 2025 after having it Sept 2024, We tried again recently and I just don’t feel it has peaked yet? Should I hold out longer or is this just what we get with selection L 270?
New member here but I have been following posts for a while, hoping to learn. I received my mystery case 2 days after the order:
Lot 76 2018 Cabernet, Napa Valley
lot 135 2017 Carignane Mendocino
Lot 225 2017 Zinfandel, Napa Valley
lot 433 2021 Pinot Noir, Arroyo Seco, Monterey
lot 440 2023 Viognier Clarksburg
Lot 449 2023 Rose of Pinot Noir, Monterey
Lot 457 2022 Cabernet, Sonoma County
lot 470 Cabernet, Napa 2021
lot 471 2021 Chardonnay, Los Carneros, Sonoma County
Lot 503 2023 Chadonnay Napa
Lot 528 2023 Cabernet, Paso Robles
Lot 533 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
There hasn’t been any chatter here about this offer from last weekend, any thoughts on source? 13.4% RRV Pinot tends to be in my wheelhouse. Lots a generic blabber in the offer, but a few useful nuggets:
-a clonal-selection, single-vineyard Pinot Noir from one of the AVA’s most esteemed western-corridor sites.
-Our source is a benchmark Russian River Valley estate that happens to be one of the few with legacy access, with an acclaimed winemaker at the helm masterfully crafting these sensational grapes into a Burgundian rendition that emphasizes elegance over extraction, precision over power, and structure built for graceful evolution
Not exactly sure what they mean by western corridor, Goldridge description takes me to Green Valley? But I can’t think of who is making 13.4% Pinot there, not Dehlinger. I wanted to jump to Joseph Swan Trenton Estate, but they seem to keep their stuff around until it’s sold. WS has some estate vineyards west of the Wohler bridge, but those are even more $ than the offer claims.
Welcome, Ron.
Wow! What rock did they find that bottle hiding under? Bottled December 15, 2020.
Bert maybe a return?
The announcement hinted that there could be early numbers. So was happy to see #76. I’m pleased because I like Cabernets and Pinot. I have only gotten a few cases (3) this year and only tasted one, #533 Pinot, which I was surprised to find in my mystery box. I enjoy it after it has settled in the glass and it is also good the next day. I’m not sure I would buy it again though.
Not a fan of Chardonnays but I am going to try the lot 471 2021 Chardonnay, Los Carneros, Sonoma County as my first from the box.
Sure. Just had one a few days ago. Pleasant mid-week drinker. Nothing off-putting, nothing memorable. Enjoy!
Dear Dallas area de Negoce Friends:
I regrettably have to liquidate my wine collection as my wife is starting on meds that prevent her from enjoying alcohol. My dN wines have been stored passively in my bedroom with a window AC unit that keeps the room on avg. 63-64 degrees year round, within a range of 58-66 degrees. No Texas heat issues.
Given my circumstance, I’m plenty willing to part with this wine on the cheap, especially if it’s going to a good home where it will be enjoyed. My remaining non-dN collection can be viewed on Cellartracker and these have all been in wine fridges. I’m still updating that inventory so it’s not 100% accurate and most of that will be liquidated on Winebid but I am open to sell those as well, especially the less expensive bottles that Winebid is not interested in.
Please reach out to me at dmkoenig0@gmail.com or text @ 469-215-9069. Thanks Darius Koenig

Man I hate to hear that. Sent you a message.
Up next is # Lot 605 Napa Valley 2024 Chardonnay / Regular price $900.00 Sale price$179.00
My Mystery Case arrived today.
487, 493, 447, 527, 471, 411, 482, 419, 452, 415, 455 and 457. I don’t recall trying any of these before. Hopefully it’s not a box of stinkers.
I wish I’d bought more of Lot 538. While I’m sure it will continue evolving and improving, it’s drinking beautifully right now. I just wish I could grab a couple more cases.
No.605 kinda sounds like Chateau Montelena, though it’s weird to think of them bulking out their Chardonnay…
ChatGPT suggests Ramey(?)
Sounds a lot more like Montelena than Ramey.
this chard offer is actually tempting but too much wine of course. My mystery case haul below, pretty happy to get a couple OG releases and looking forward to sampling some of the newer stuff given I mostly stopped purchasing post Cam. Mystery price way below the initial release average of these
