De Negoce offer (Part 2)

I won’t post them here, but two new big Cab Franc future offers under the futures section of the dN website. Lot 580 and 581 Mt. Veeder Cab Franc, 2021 and 2022.

Wonder who that winery could be…I like both of those things…Veeder and Franc. though 14.1 might be a bit more tempered than i usually like it.

No clue if this is it, but I found this:

Strangely, I have not gotten email notices of the last few de Négoce futures releases. Thanks to JDutko’s release announcements, I’ve been able to still post these onto denegociants (not my site).

I actually think it could be Vinoce. They sold (family owned) to Ca Momi in 2021. The last two vintages were priced right around $100. I’ve actually REALLY enjoyed these wines.

Hi,

Last year, when my wife and I decided to move to the UK, I sold off some of my De Negoce inventory to dedicated followers of all things De Negoce. As it turned out we didn’t move right away so we got to enjoy more of these nice bottles curated by Cam Hughes. Now, it turns out, we are actually making the move in February and I still have more than we can drink or take with us, so I’m going to have to sell about 15 cases or just give it to my friends.

I’ve done an inventory and it looks like I have the following bottles for sale. I am offering them for the price I paid plus $3 each towards my carrying costs:

Wow! Times change & opportunity presents itself:

“As Wine Production Plummets in California, Small Producers Seize the Moment”

Une Femme Wines, a California canned wine brand, is dedicated to working with sustainably-farmed grapes. Sourcing has been difficult, as these kinds of grapes are pricier and harder to come by. The glut, however, is making it easier for them to buy fruit that’s aligned with their brand.

“We’re able to buy organic Chardonnay for our program, which is always something we have been pushing for but not able to obtain just yet due to the typical higher cost,” says director of winemaking Evyn Cameron. She’s also been able to snag grapes typically earmarked for $500 bottles of wine and stick them into her cans.

Eidson agrees. He’s already been sourcing from dream Napa Valley sites—Hyde, Hirsch, and Hudson………

Dear deNegociants,

I’m running out of time and I still have a lot of wine that I can’t bring with me to the UK, so I’m bringing the price down on what I have left. These are all early days de Negoce offerings, and they have been well cellared at the Caves du Vin in Berkeley. All reds, no whites.

I’ve done an inventory and it looks like I have the following bottles for sale. I am offering them now for the price I paid in 2020-22.

One of the more interesting offers from dN lately. Any thoughts on producer? Kosta Browne?

Red blend sold out!

At less than $13/bottle after credits, the only reason I see not to buy is lack of temporary storage space.

Maybe sourced from Platt Vineyard? Producer? It was sold in 2022? The number of mid-high 90s scores is why I say that vineyard.

Paul Hobbs has a couple Sonoma Coast PN vineyards, that fit description and price, scores could fit.

Could it be Marine Layer Pinot? They do use those words in the write up!
