Damn. Didn’t give me any credit huh?
Nope, was too busy trying to complete my order! Those scores were cut and pasted from @J_Patrick_Lynch post on another thread!
To John and whoever else brought up the Spring Mountain Vineyard 80% off sale, Thanks for the tip. I bought the following which got to $266 for free shipping.
Nothing new on offer?
I hope you enjoy a distraction?
Yearly at this time, nature provides new Fawns. This is very common at our place.
So far, we have inherited a pair of twins & 2 single births=4 additional landscape devouring locals:
From our back window:
FYI, I checked with Support and was told that the Beaune was bottled late 2021.
On June 5, 2023 I placed an order for a dN 12 bottle $163 BBQ Wine Sample for a friend. Does anyone remember what was included in that strange dN order? I ask since the friend mentioned is no longer available for this inquiry.
@B_Bauer Found stuffed in the email archive. Was fun to look at the old emails. Cam was also promoting a “Whoop ass Syrah Sampler” around this time.
de Négoce Lot 560 | 2024 Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay is up now.
Bernardus Soberanes Vineyard Chardonnay?
14.5% ABV Chardonnay!
Sobranes Vineyard is co-owned by the “Gary’s,” and since this is an estate wine, my guess is:
Or it could be one of the other “Gary’s” estate Chards!
The Gary’s own the best vineyards in SLH, sources for many other names, as the write up says!
It’s good to be a Gary.
Rosella is usually the highest rated even if you look at Bernardus wines too.
Not to change the subject, but going back to the debate on lot 553, VHR vs. Baker & Hamilton, Wines Spies today has a 2022 “mystery” Oakville Cabernet offered today that sounds just like Baker & Hamilton, to me.
Just makes me wonder about lot 553. While we all hoped that lot 553 came from the $250 VHR barrels, what’s to really stop them from giving us the $125-150 B&H barrels and making us believe it’s VHR! Same winemaker, same vineyard.
Check it out, if interested www.winespies.com
" a quick search on the secondary market reveals multiple sources well over $250/bottle before shipping"
Unless they are just flat out lying its not Baker & Hamilton.
Is it lying, or is it just sleight of hand? That’s the grey area we play in.
Lot 563 Calistoga 2023 Petite Sirah is up in running at this time. Very, very tempting.
