De Negoce offer (Part 2)

Here’s a secret and this is why I was complaining a few days ago about how they need to fix this. You can easily find this wine any new wine on the website if you are looking, and purchase it, regardless of the staggered offer times based on reward levels. This is how I found lot 500 before the email.

You just search for the lot number in the search bar!

You can thank me later. :wine_glass:

My only complaint with the rewards program is that they didn’t consider any past purchases when it launched. I also feel they should have a lifetime value component in it. Many of us here have been avid supporters since N.01 and bought untold amounts of $$$ but there’s no recognition of that.

Up to the new regime to decide though…

Thanks all for posting the links for us bottom tier folks! (If you are talking tiers of actual dN wine boxes in my storage, I’m at level 7, maybe higher )

I guess there won’t be any speculation on the provenance of lot 516. Hopefully it’s one of their premium $100+ cabs…

Marc,
Thanks, #516 looks promising.
Has anyone received #493 PN yet?? Was to ship in August???

This headline on lot 498 doesn’t bode well for the rest of the offers, considering it’s a $20 for $80

“Our Most Aggressively Priced Napa Valley Cab of the Year!”

I’ve often heard that Napa wineries cannot sell any Cab priced below $100, and I expect that ripple will happen here with 498, and any others. Even if it’s an artificial $120 wine that we are paying $30 or less, we really NEED for it to be north of $100 (from the original winery.

Where have you heard that, as it’s completely wrong.

Scott,
I emailed Support two days ago. They said weather delay, it shipped yesterday and will be here today.

Cheers, Tim

Can anyone comment on the quality of the previous dN offerings from Diamond Mountain? To be honest, while I love Cab from Moon Mountain, Mt. Veeder, Howell and Atlas Peak, I have not really enjoyed Diamond or Spring Mountain wines (particularly Spring). Im not sure what it is! Maybe just a mental block, so talk me out of it…

Unless someone can convince me, Ima save my cheddar for lot 496. Cherries and currants just don’t sound good to me.

There’s a modest chance Lot 497 is Lokoya. It’s hard to access without a membership/account there.
Chris Carpenter winemaking extraordinaire.

Hall makes a Diamond Mtn Cab > $200, but seemingly it’s available for purchase on website.

Thoughts?

I used Wine Searcher and searched DM by most expensive. Seven wineries came up with wines north of $200:

Kinsman Eades
Lokoya
Seaver
Checkerboard
Davies
Hall
The Vineyardist

Could also be Theorem TRB

John,
Yep, how many are “Estate”? And have higest pedigree of winemaking team?

Seaver has TRB, Lokoya has Chris. Both wines are hard to access for public,

Good point. The Vineyardist led by Tony Biagi fits the bill too. He’s not TRB level, but he’s been around.

I can see this wine selling out faster than say Lot 500 as it’s possibly better Cabernet but more limited in amount available. Grabbed my share. Thanks Matt.

Dang, Checkerboard is also estate with Martha McClellan.

Any one of these options made by a winemaking team? “Team” was a word that stuck out to me in the description

Depends on what your definition of estate is.

I know the definition. Mr Lynch.
