De Negoce offer (Part 2)

They are part of the VWE bankruptcy and it’s probably ending because of that.

I would assume that is the case. Maybe some big deals coming soon to clear out inventory.

Lot 478 2017 Howell Mtn Cab: Back label had “Garage East LLC” as bottled by.

Lot 504 uses that same LLC on back label.

Is anyone considering purchasing lot 483? I’m not familiar with Monterey PN. I missed the recent RRV offer while dithering about having too much wine (which I do). I like the Burgundy description, but the alcohol is pretty high.

I pulled the trigger - I like a lot of California pinot, and while I haven’t had a lot from Monterey, what I’ve had I’ve liked.

Case sale time! Looks like T1 pricing essentially, but 11-12 months later. This wine had a geographic location description similar to n.17 and has gotten decent reviews. Can anyone confirm their enjoyment of this wine?

I know this is not DN related, but I value the comments of others in this group. Can anyone comment on whether this would be a good purchase at ~$80/bottle.

Ive purchased 409 twice. Had one bottle last night and still feel it needs more time in the bottle. Its a bit of a fruit bomb but the wife likes it which is ok by me. The price is exactly what i paid for it as a future offer. Id probably be in for another case but i still have plenty.

Scott,
JD gives it 92 rating with “Rich, Chewy wine” drink it over next decade he mentions. No experience with the winery/wines though looks like it’s in good hands.

Cheers, Tim

Dang, you can get a case of Laura Michael Cabernet today for around the same price after tax of a case of lot 409 at Cassmates! Tough choices!

PS - the future offer for lot 409 came out on 8/29/23, so pretty much one year ago. People balked at it given the higher price that normal and we were right in the middle of the summer shipping fiasco.

Sounds like a pretty decent deal, although I have no experience with that winery. My wife does tire of dN, which she considers basically “generic”, so she may prefer something like that which has a “real” label, but I don’t need any more wine right now.

Same here, I’ve started pouring it into a decanter and tossing the bottle away before she sees it.

Given this offer, I’m changing my guess on lot 494 RRV Zin and this one to Foppiano (who recently sold)!

(Maybe I’m wrong on the Zin, both mention “historic,” but feel pretty confident about this PS!!)

Thanks! Has anyone ever tried Foppiano PS? Any thoughts?
I love PS so I’m thinking about getting this one, but the CT reviews of the prior vintages don’t seem very good.

I bought a case to split with the neighbors. I can’t resist a “flagship” wine. I have not had their wine, but it gets good customer reviews and I love other wineries in this northern area of RRV.

I grabbed a case as well. I really enjoy the varietal and a welcome change from so much Cab Sauv previously purchased. Also interestingly I was leveled up to Villages status, but assume I will have to wait another year for my token $25 birthday gift, as it just passed, lol.

OH SHIT, I just realized the Foppiano was bought by MARTIN RAY!!! :exploding_head::fire::sparkler::fireworks::firecracker::exploding_head:

Funny, I thought you had already known that and used it as part of your sleuthing!
Didn’t affect my purchase decision.
