Our 468 6-pack says the same on the corks. We’re looking forward to this one.
Any thoughts on source for n.447 Red Hills Cab Sauv 2022 that came out today? I’m stumped…
Sounds like the vineyard is obsidian ridge.
Emerson @Large Amber Knolls Vineyard ???
I miss the days when they used to dump a bunch of older lots into the bottle shop and it was just a free-for-all. Sigh.
Also, welcome new WB member @MichaelBridwell, one of my neighbors!
No guesses on the source, but this is really good. I almost never drink my CS with less than 5 years of bottle age. On a whim, I opened a bottle of 447 when it arrived in April and I was stunned as to how ready-to-drink it was. Smooth, nuanced, long aftertaste, Just fabulous for a $12 Cab. Let’s see what happens when it ages…
Beckstoffer blending juice? Not going to be my thing.
70% off of a wine that is not sold lol
I don’t “need” any more wine. I especially don’t need this.
Agree 100%!
I opened a bottle as it was easy to get to, and really enjoyed it.
Lush and robust…
Very nice surprise.
Wow. Wasn’t going to touch that for a long time but maybe I’ll have to open.
@Luke_Newton - I think you will like it as well. I am bummed I missed the 2nd case offer of this though
We have seen this case sale before, right?
Wow, I’m not the only nerd using Erlenmeyer flask as a decanter. IMHO the 1 liter is too small.
This one sold out in a flash…
Yep, 2L wide mouth is the way to go . . .
Cheers
Larry,
Walter White would be so proud. Cheers, Tim
I know 2023 was supposed to be a great year but I’ve mostly thought of it for reds (which won’t show up around here for another 1 yr). Does the “amazing harvest quality” apply to whites?
