De Negoce offer (Part 2)

This is a tough one for me after spending a little while trying to figure it out. Going to be hard because it doesn’t say its an Atlas Peak winery but rather grapes from there. Think I’m going on the sidelines without a good source.

(sorry did not mean this as a response to Mike)

Fact been rated 93-96 from multiple publications should be all people should need to feel confident this is good juice. Also “well over $100” prob means this is like $150 wine out of the winery.

At $21/bottle, this doesn’t need to be a home run to still be a good deal. And maybe it will be a great deal…

What about Alpha Omega Proprietary Red Atlas Peak? All the same grapes. Blackberry pie. Well north of $100.

I was thinking this, but wouldn’t TTB rules prevent DN from calling it a cab? AO blend is reported as 55% cab

It’s Alpha Omega Prop Red - I think 90%.

In for a 3rd case.

I’ve done zero research on this just read the write up once, but just throwing it out there that there are a slew of wineries that make Cab and Cab blends from Stagecoach Vineyard grapes. A ton (cause it’s such a huge Vineyard)!

Review here:

Here are the scores:

wasn’t the best guess for a previous wine AO prop red? Maybe around 401… Forget the vintage

429 and 453

429 was reported to be AO

Seems to fit though perfectly. All the same grapes, all single vineyard, and the price point. Also they produced 988 cases so bulking 100 is not crazy.

Sold out

I’m in for a case and a half. There can’t be that many proprietary reds from Atlas Peak using those specific 4 grapes. Alpha Omega certainly fits.

Oh, if 429 was AO then it’s a LOCK this is.

It was fun while it lasted 40 mins….

I missed out, but that is a-okay.

Do AO corks have their name on it? I would assume they do. We’ll know soon enough, though maybe they bottled these w/ blank corks not knowing what they were going to do with them.

Yes, has their logo on them

So 429 was 2021 Napa Proprietary and this is the 2021 Atlas Peak Proprietary. That would make sense. I snoozed on this one.

429 was bottled by dN though (and they were very clear about that). They did not call them shiners. I bought 429 was delicious.
