De Negoce offer (Part 2)

We are already dN addicted and here you are offering up some sweet meth from another dealer you know down the street? My wallet can only handle so much.

I figured I’d return the favor of getting me addicted here with DN. :joy:

I’m in the same. I’ll holding off purchasing it anticipating dropping money here.

Yeah, my note on the Gigondas compares it to Paso Robles Grenaches, Herman Storyish. The other NV Arcane blend was milder by comparison (and a bit mundane), so I will for sure post a note on the CdP later tonight or tomorrow. Maybe this afternoon. It’s already dinner time in France, right?!?

The Xavier vignon wines were all great (and I’m sorry I missed that one). Snagged a case of the The Roncaia Eclisse, which is a superb Italian white with balanced acidity and long finish. Hard to touch this quality anywhere stateside for less than $30-40/ bottle.

It is still possible that the last Roncaia will be the best white offer of the week, but I was definitely hasty in pulling the trigger (it will likely be around all day). My three least favorite descriptors in white wine are flowers, green apple and James Suckling (for red it is raisin, prune and James Suckling).

Big thank you. That makes me feel a lot better. Would you say the Eclisse is not a floral bouquet full of apples?

In for a case of the Roncaia. I like trying different Sauvignon Blanc wines and with this being a blend with a local white, should make for an interesting one.

I remember the nose as floral and citrus-y, with stone fruits, and a hint of musk (but not funky). Definitely not your typical California or NZ SB.

Appears to be a little down time for offers.

Why did the description only say “Sauvignon” and not “Sauvignon Blanc”? Threw me off when I was considering if it was a wine I’d like.

All wines are “SOLD OUT”…new offer pending. EXCITING!

Hi Larry, I missed this. I drink coffee with half and half most of the time, but will drink it black. I’ve gone from dark (burnt) roast, Starbucks/Costco, to light to medium roast lately. I found a local roaster in Yakima, Lincoln Ave Coffee Roasters, that does a great job with single source beans, Sumantra, Ethiopian being my favorites, but I cycle through 4-5 different blends to avoid too much oneness.

I love this rose… super good. But I already have a couple cases of it.

Thank you for your feedback. Do you like provincial rose? I imagine this is vastly different.

Edit - I just looked at CT for notes.

I snagged one. My wife is gonna kill me with all the wine coming so I have to bribe her with some that she likes. :smirk:

A couple of the CT reviews say it was way too sweet. What was your experience? Did you find it sweet? I could always use more rose, but torn on this. Down to 33 cases!

One way is to compare the “residual sugar (20 g/l)” of this wine to the style of rose you like.
