Once you start taking hits of the deNegoce you can’t go back to those other wine sources (TW, Costco, Bevmo) without a huge chip on your shoulder. You quickly learn that for $10-20 a bottle 99% of Cam’s stuff blows everything those places have out of the water at a similar price point. The only time I go there for wine type products anymore is for things that I can’t get from Cam or that he hasn’t put out for sale yet!
Our Costco has a nice Albariño that breaks the chard routine & I’ve become fond of it over the years. But it’s $15 & Cam would sell it for $8.
Totally agree with this sentiment! I am no longer Buying cases @ TJ’s, Costco or BevMo.
It wouldn’t help, but, They should have sent me a Christmas card or ten or twelve…
You won’t regret 68, especially at that price. But yes, this forum is a major enabler (and I don’t need much encouragement to buy wine). I plan to go back to my order for 200, which is about when I first discovered Matt T’s playgroup, to see how much my purchases increased under the influence of this esteemed body. Hubby has put me on a two case a month limit. I’ve reached it for March. We’ll see how long that lasts…
Now, I try to limit myself to 2.5 cases/ month. It equals my consumption rate, equals a static cellar level. About full…
At the moment, yes, I agree. But not sure how sustainable his biz model is in the long term. As demand grows, he might need to relax his wine selection criteria and put more “B” and “C” lots as there won’t be enough “A” wines available in the market with a competitive price to fulfill demand.
Then, customers will see a decrease in the success rate (i.e. 1 fantastic wine every 10 lots)…and finally, once the average price difference to a comparable wine from Costco/TW becomes <20-30%, the value proposition is kind of gone, and people will default to their old ways of buying wine…
I don’t know anything about the wine industry tbh :), these are just my random thoughts as I drink the delicious N.217… but this seems like a tricky biz model where too much growth might be your own enemy…
I would love to hear the opinion of the experts!!
What is TW? A retailer???
Yes, it’s Total Wine, sorry for the acronym…
I thought he was going to crap out long ago after restaurants re-opened and then when the fires killed a years crop but somehow he’s still delivering. I haven’t bought many of the new offerings the last 12-18 months but it seems everyone is very pleased and the price points are unreal.
Total Wine, hmmm, Not here in CA? California.
There will always be Bulk Wine deals somewhere.
China trade wars, real wars, currencies, big crops, falling demand, high interest rates, many unknown etc’s…

Scott with ?
Yes, they have stores here in CA. 36 stores in CA according to their website: https://www.totalwine.com/store-finder/browse/CA
I agree, Scott. Personally I’ve been excited by the international offers, but I’ve showed some restraint after filling my basement with west coast wines. Cam has the talent for discovering rare gems throughout the world, bringing them to market, & then making them sounds like wines I can’t live without. I can’t believe he would damage his reputation & risk the viability of his business by offering wines that were sub par.
the moving sale was too good to pass up. And wasn’t going to buy anymore but the #68 deal made me buy yet another case. Damn you Cam.
You wont be disappointed with 68. This wine continues to amaze me. Developing nicely and has years in front of it.
I also bought a case of 68 based on everyone’s suggestions. And a case of 207. That was just yesterday. I haven’t yet counted how many other de Negoce wines I’ve purchased in the last week or month, but I try not to think too much about it. And pretty soon it’ll be summer and too hot to ship so it’ll be a forced diet from wine deliveries.
Anyone know when these ship?
They never ship, this is a ponzi scheme.
I received some wine yesterday from the Warehouse sale last weekend. And more to come on Monday.
Max, that is a great question. I am hoping they ship soon because the shipping window to Texas will be closing very soon and I have ten cases that I am waiting on being shipped. This is the only part of DN that I really do not like. The Wine Access shipping model is the best I have ever seen and I am hoping the new fulfillment center will enable DN to be the same. Shipping has always been a PITA to where I live and I gave up on having wine shipped to me for a long time until recently.
Damn man you’re in deep…
