De Negoce offer (Part 1)

I’m at 40+ cases and would have bought the Rocks syrah but never got the email. Same for the Tempranillo, but would have passed on it. If it’s only text notices in the future, I guess I’m out.

Do you have a flip phone or something? It’s not hard to get the notifications by text.

I don’t know why the offers aren’t going out by email, or going out late these days. It used to be the opposite: the email would go out before the text.

I agree. If you’re going to make it some offers text only, just give people a heads up. Why alienate people over something so trivial?

Your jab makes no sense since a “flip phone” would get a text but not an email.

And for many, phone numbers are more personal than email addresses.

I initially thought 108, 109, & 110 were MV Winery, but with the Tempranillo addition, I’m leaning towards Charles B. Mitchell.

Perhaps the low price of $96 for the case ($8/bottle) helped in addition to the relatively low number of cases.

For some reason n.99 and n.111 were both text-only offers - at least for me. I received texts for both, but emails for neither.

I wonder if it was random or if it’s because both were for small lots (150 cases or less) - and if text-only notification will be the norm for such lots going forward

I didn’t get either the email or the text. Wow, guess I fell out of favor. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Drank the OG4 and the OG50 this week. 24 hr decants. Both are excellent. really glad I bought as much as I did. Will be diving into several more to try them out over the next few weeks.

YOU didn’t get the info? That’s really weird because I got the texts and you’re the Leader of the Pack… I mean the Bay Area dN buying group.

I was someplace with no cell phone reception, at least for AT&T. Got the text at 8:00 PM. I would probably have got it if I had received notice in time, but I really need to work on storage space, so missing it was not all bad. I think it went fast since it’s something different, as far as I can tell the only Tempranillo offered, and cheap. Maybe people have enough Zin and Cab.

Also, has anyone received a shipping notice recently? I know they suspended shipping for December, but I kind of thought I would have heard something on #82 “Meritage” by now.

I’ve got #92 arriving today.

Has anyone ever had a new world Tempranillo before? I probably would have bought if I had seen the offer, just out of curiosity.

I’m a fan of Mark Herold Acha

The Quinta Cruz brand from Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard makes a nice one, along with some other really good Iberian varietals.

In case anyone isn’t getting emails. #118 just went live. I re-subcribed to the email list yesterday. Not sure if I got the email because of that, but figured I’d mention it.

No 118 Malbec is up:

Oh my. Juicy, rich, ripe, deep, dark, and delicious are just a few descriptors of this fantastic Chalk Hill Malbec…while I’m at it, I would throw in lush, intense and hedonistic too.

Produced by one of Chalk Hill’s finest producers from some of the finest vineyards on Chalk Hill, this is a no expense spared, built to the nines Malbec with approximately 80% new French Oak. I paid more for this wine than I did many Napa Cabernet’s actually. The wine sells for well over $60/bottle at the winery under a special reserve designation and is a stunning opportunity at $15/bottle, $180 per case. Magnificent juice!

There are a few nice Tempranillos made here in Paso: Bodegas de Edgar is my favorite one (especially from Laetitia’s vineyard).

Interesting. I’ve purchased a number of de Negoce wines, but I have not gotten an e-mail notice of the last few offers.
Unless there is more Willamette Valley wine, I’m done anyway.
