2018 Maître de Chai Zinfandel Stampede - USA, California, Central Valley, Clements Hills (10/30/2020) This is the the antithesis of the stereotype of the Lodi Zin. The new generation of Lodi. Sour cherries, junipers, lightness in the step, delicate, cloaked. And putting my cheesy hat on: it’s like a veiled woman that just gives you a peek of her beautiful features, but not the full view. No detectable oak and only 12.8% ABV. I just keep wanting more, drinking it in big gulps, can’t get enough…
