Do you know if this is new? I had no idea and the West Loop location is one of our go-to places for many years (was just there last week too)
Not sure if it’s new, but we went recently and can confirm that the policy was in effect.

Related: a German winemaker dinner is being planned in Chicago on May 19th.
The hogsalt restaurants (Bavettes, Ciccio Mio, Au Cheval, Trivol Tavern, Gilt Bar) all changed their policy post covid from share a glass to $50 a bottle, 2 bottle max per table.
Is all of this just updated at the first post or is there a website?

Wonderful new place near six corners. Delicious Peruvian food, and great value. Corkage fee is $10/table. Stems were OK.

I don’t see RPM Seafood mentioned above - I assume BYOB is allowed there too? Any idea on corkage?

Lula Cafe has $25 corkage (which they actually waived for us). I don’t recall them previously offering BYOB either.

All, I’ve added Lula Cafe, Community Tavern, and Formento’s to the list at the top. If you can update us on the stems and if people should bring their own, I’ll update the entry.
Formento’s: full-service wine program, so they have great stems.
Would also be nice to know how you liked the restaurant. Worth a trip or just OK?
Formentos is great and I’m really surprised their corkage isn’t double that given the area. That’s gotta be a top BYOB destination imo. Last time I was there I got Heredia Tondonia blanco for $85. So check the wine list too.

Basic/average stems at Lula. Lula is one of our go-to restaurants especially if we are looking for lighter fare (produce and fish). Their soups are always incredible too and doesn’t get enough attention.
Community Tavern is in my ‘hood but it’s been a year or so since I’ve last been there. Having said that, we’ve never been disappointed. Their burger, dan dan noodles and dumplings are staples on their menu for a reason.
