Can anyone spare $33,333?

November 19 Acker is hosting a dinner at Per Se in NYC, opening up 21 selected vintages of DRC RC, from 1971-2016.

I only need one ticket, and I’d consider it a huge favor if anyone could help.

21 vintages with some of my favorites on the menu. Too much (in several ways) for me, but should be a fun evening. Hope you end up getting a seat and report back

There were lots of impressive vertical and horizonal dinners in the offer. It seems to me like they are looking for ways to monetize their inventory in this less frenzied retail environment.

A fine question to ask them, but that wouldn’t be my take, especially since most of these types of dinners often don’t involve the house’s inventory (ie Acker Wine Workshop dinner wines are often sourced from others, some on this board).

My guess would be to be competitive with Wine Workshop

I’m the finest rube you’ll ever meet, Brad.

Any little bit helps, buddy. I’m like a guy with dark glasses and a tin cup, just hoping for a few shekels to fall in.

Any info on the provenance?

Oh jeez, you are right, let me fix the post.

They are also doing a Coche Dury Corton Charlemagne vertical dinner with 19 selected vintages btw 1989-2015 for $9995/ticket as well as a Dugat-Py Chambertin dinner opening up every single vintage from 1997-2020 for $2995/ticket.

No worries. You know we don’t expect that rubes can read.

Better chance for fakes.

Ah it is wine workshop. Got it. Makes sense.

Lets do a WB raffle for it. Only need 130 entries at $300 each

Sounds like you are volunteering to spearhead that — God bless you, good sir!

Yes, Venmo me $330 and I’ll announce the winner in December, in time for the holidays

A friend of mine provided all the wines for an Acker Washington State dinner many moons ago. As a result, I got his freebie invite.
