not sure how the inventory works but lot 15 is sold out in 12 packs but 8 still left in 6s
Almost first real sell out?
Have bottle text colors been decoded / described? Seems like its by varietal? Why is 15 white then?

Crazy that there’s no up charge in the 6-packs (to the new case prices)! Thanks, @Cameron_Hughes! This broke my will to resist.
Is the summer hold selected by default? I didn’t see an option.
That I can see they generally follow a varietal structure:
Lot | Provenance | Variety | Label | Font |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Alexander Valley | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Gold |
3 | Napa Valley | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Gold |
10 | Napa Valley | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Gold |
12 | Napa Valley | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Gold |
14 | Napa Valley | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Gold |
2 | Oakville District | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Gold |
15 | Oakville | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Silver |
7 | Coombsville District | Cabernet Sauvignon | Black | Orange |
5 | Knights Valley | Meritage Blend | Black | Gold |
13 | Napa Valley | Meritage Blend | Black | Gold |
22 | Rutherford | Malbec | Black | Purple |
8 | Napa Carneros | Pinot Noir | Black | Dark Orange |
16 | Napa Valley | Syrah | Black | Red |
9 | Carneros | Chardonnay | White | Gold |
11 | Russian River Valley | Chardonnay | White | Gold |
4 | Sonoma Coast | Chardonnay | White | Gold |
6 | Sonoma Coast | Rose | White | Silver |
Only lots 15 and 7 break from the rest of the cabernet sauvignon pattern. They are both bottling blends (lot 7 is a mix of two bottling blends, 15 is bottling blend with merlot/petit verdot adds), not sure if that drives the discrepancy.
Another oddity is that the meritage blends have the typical Black/Gold label that Cab Sauv does, but they are not predominantly Cab Sauv. Less of an oddity though.
Based on my order experience a few moments ago, there are some slight price-per-bottle increases at least for Lots 9 & 11. Full cases of 12 were $159 I recall whereas I just paid $84 for each 6-pack. Happy to have these smaller quantities for once though.
My first post here; I joined just to track this new venture in order to buy these wines.
When I checked earlier today, the 6 packs were slightly more than half the case price & the cases were priced as I ordered them previously. Now, the 6 packs might be the same as earlier, but the full cases were raised to be 2 x the 6 pack price. Not so much a complaint as clarifying the comment that there is no upcharge for a 6 pack.
Ooftah…well, buy now…those prices are wrong and should be fixed shortly…something mis-configured on the back-end.
Cam, I am sure that you are in low overheard mode right now, but there is one capability that I would like to request with your new website. As wines sell out, is there a way to maintain the original write-up and tasting notes on the website with a search feature?
That way, when I am drinking Lot 12 (or whatever) in 3-5 years, I can easily go back and search for the write up and see if it still aligns with your note!
According to CamXcellar, Lot 12 was released at $199, right?
It’s $204 now or $102 for the 6-pack. So, minor bump on both, but no penalty on the 6-pack which is unusual.
No penalty on a 6 pack will keep more old customers buying and happy.
Well it’s $5 more for shipping and summer hold. If thru WineVIP I’m paying like $17 for both.
yep, we can do that. I think even now it would just show sold out…but we’ll get an archive going…eventually.
Got your question answered lol
12 was $199, plus $12 for shipping when I bought it on WIneVIP (and another $5 for summer hold if you wanted).
Oh, how you know how to make yet another sale. My daughter benefitted from this price ‘snafu’ comment of yours. I’m still laughing at myself for sending her half cases of Lots 8 PN & 12 CS. // As it turned out, there was only a $7 per case difference from the original 6-pack posted cost, but the gesture was appreciated. Everyone is still ahead on this wine purchase game thanks to CH.
Please bring on some bubbles for the holidays
To clarify, by “full cases of 12” I meant 12 bottles not Lot 12.
Despite all this listed (minor) price change talk, we certainly may count ourselves lucky / fortunate that Cameron is providing us with such varied and intriguing buying opportunities at these attractive prices vs the equivalently-priced bottles of utter shite for sale elsewhere. Long may this continue to be the case
Very happy being a Founding Member right now…thank you @Cameron_Hughes
Incredible Founding Member offer just dropped (password protected). Cam didn’t say can’t share details here (it’s password protected so I don’t see the harm) but don’t want to get in trouble!
Anyway, Founding Membership just paid off in spades and it cost nothing.
Basically it’s a super high end Cab and Cam says top 3 (if not best) he’s ever sourced.
EDIT: He does say not to share link or sourcing details, I didn’t do any of that!
Yeah easy buy today. In fact, for the first time in forever… Went with 2 cases.
Just so impressed he was able to get his hands on Yelling Chicken shiners. Only 98 cases too.
Finished off the last of my $1k gift card … time to take a break and drink more de Negoce.
(The first sentence is a joke.)
