tell her it’s like almost free wine

And if you keep telling her that, you’ll end up almost married.

@Stephen_Faulkner i see it differently when reading his write up. The Les Pavots and Ma Belle-Fille are the flagship wines. L’Esprit Des Pavots would be the so called “SECOND” wine.

Thenegociantwine.com describes it as:

I do think it is fair to note that this is not a flagship wine, but, with high-90’s critics scores across the board, I believe it would be unfair to call it a “second wine”. What I can tell you is that it is a fabulous wine, and we are bottling the blend as it was received. (I added bold and italics)

My wishful thinking is the email is alluding to the fact that it’s not fair to call it a second wine. I also believe that maybe this quote from the website might be a little too close to the review mentioned above, and therefore was changed for the email.

Again, maybe wishful thinking…

given the premise of these wine purchases, she would not be my wife of almost 30 years LOL

I’m just quoting from the email sent out as that’s all I have. I interpreted your post as Galloni confirming because of the bolded “second wine” comments. Seems like if this was the wine, you would want people to think so and not try to convince them by saying otherwise. All WAGs in the end regardless.

Is he Swiss?? With Watchmaker precision?
Of course, I’m in for one! At least so far?

ripe, hedonistic style produced with Swiss watchmaking precision,

From the email offering:
A richly structured, lush, and hedonistic Cabernet-based blend with 15+ years of potential —and enough plushness to drink like a dream right now. Swiss-watch precision meets full-bodied seduction.

It doesn’t seem to say it is not a 3rd wine :joy:

It’s a pass for me, but I’m also not the target market for big cabs or for blind trust.

I trust that in going to get my money’s worth, at a minimum. Pretty hard to go wrong at these price points. The wordsmithing tells you a whole lot about nothing but you can usually narrow it down to some wine that I’m happy to pay that price for. My expectations are otherwise low to get a blockbuster for a pittance. But a wine that is extremely pleasing for a price point of supermarket plonk. I Don’t need much trust to know I’m going to get that.

BTW - I buy very little of this type of blind juice but when I did, I was not disappointed based on my experience

I’m in for a case.

Trying to decide between lot 4 and 11. Maybe will wait to see if a split case offer becomes available.
