I’d join, but … I’d prefer receiving a case when it’s 95 degrees than receiving one when my wife is home (speaking from experience). ![]()
I’m with you on that Jeff… that’s why about a year into my dN purchasing I started having all my cases shipped to a UPS or FedEx drop point! Then I didn’t have to hear from my wife or kids saying “Another wine delivery!”
I had a couple deliveries show up at the house when I either requested the hold at a drop spot or I was unable to make the change after I received notice of shipping. Berserker Day was only a few weeks ago and I suffered greatly.
yes, for most folks this is the way to go.
I didn’t see the news until I saw the WSJ piece from Lettie this morning. So I was late, number 32.
Good question…not sure just yet. As I mentioned previously, the Lettie piece kinda pushed me out the gate a little early but it shan’t be too long.
So for those of us that live in a hot part of the country, will there be a summer hold option? Or some other way to avoid the heat? Thanks.
I am on a (near) total wine buying moratorium so this was an easy pass for me, but then I thought about it and realized that this isn’t buying wine it’s buying status. I can always use more status, and it’s so easy to store! As a fan of the 70’s Yankees proud to be member 44. I’m sure my logic matches half this board in thinking even if I buy “no wine” I’ll spend $1K. I’m not counting on the roxy making it to Denver.
Sure, you bet.
BUMP for lack of activity
If I could request a founders club benefit, it would be a secret “back up the truck” code. I’m far from alone among the fanboys (and any other gendered or non gendered description that could be used as a suffix there) who has way too much wine. A little wink would help those of us who need to buy fewer that 10 cases reduce our FOMO.
Hats off to you Cam for getting this going so quickly. Even those of us buying “no wine” will need to take down a few cases of '23 cab. My assumption is that this will launch in time to take advantage of that.
There most definitely will be '23 Napa Cab release(s).
Only thing this thread is missing is the OG haters. Come on, everyone is welcome. More fun with all of you here.
What if you’re an OG buyer and hater?

@MatthewT, we were united on the “shiner” verbage.
Man, i am admittedly WAY behind in the de negoce story, but @Cameron_Hughes , was there ever any clarity on what happened there?
My apologies if i missed it, but i havent followed that thread in a long time.
Good point, What if TNs are shiners of dN wine?
I was thinking the same thing.
I’d like that too, but he had better get a move on before The Canal closes.
I’m #50, that’s gotta be good for something.
tN it is.
Remembering the past days of CH’s dN $9 wines, #11 celebrated the tN event with an OG N.109 2018 Fair Play District (El Dorado County) Syrah. This Oct 2020 bottled cellar defender’s first 2023 ‘rhubarb’ taste has now passed along to rich grains and blackberry flavors. We are all looking forward to new CH’s aptly described appearing wine selections.
Trying to resist the urge to buy the founder card, but the #240 I opened last night is making it difficult. I’m packed to the gills with wine though. How do y’all go through so much wine???
