6-9 bottles left of X80….currently?
3 pack of Lot 80 2024
Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Sale price $69.00
Regular price $900.00

My apologies🤦‍♂️

Out of curiosity, has anyone received their Lot 62 orders?

Something strange in today’s bottle shop e-mail:

Lot 51 2023 Napa Carneros Merlot sourced from the legendary Hudson Vineyard, this single-vineyard designate Merlot is the best Merlot I have ever put into the bottle. Rip-snortin’ and rarin’ to go with a super-complex bouquet and dynamite structure that beautifully blends potency and transparency, this wine is Deft AF. Bit pricier at $25/bottle, but well worth it. Just under a pallet remains…

The original e-mail said Hyde Vineyard, not Hudson

Hand’s down the finest Merlot I have ever sourced, hails from the legendary Hyde Vineyard. The producer (not Hyde) sells this for well over $135/bottle and it’s their most expensive bottling across their entire lineup to boot!

Yep. Weird. I’d venture to guess he forgot and the new one is wrong since he mentioned Hyde twice originally.

total brain fart…my bad. correct the first time…I should note Hyde did not make the wine.

Who cares about the hyperbole, at $14/btl delivered, its hardly a risk…considering it should drink well above its price

Chappellet’s Mountain Cuvee utilizes CS from Chalk Hill. Could it be as simple as that blending component for their low-end bottling?

(edit: I see Cam’s ‘bottling blend’ comment at bottom of discription)

'tis a hell of a deal. Think about it, really wealthy individual spares no expense planting world-class vineyard with top-notch vineyard management, hires world-class winemaker to make a couple hundred cases of his own rock-star Cabernet but still has lots of '23 Cabernet sitting around (extremely well-received by the way). Being very smart businessman he decides who needs this headache and cuts bait. Your gain…

…forgot to mention, this wine will age for decades.
