Yeah, I don’t like to weigh in on the speculation/guesses but I am friendly with Phillip and don’t want to implicate him. He is not the winemaker and Chappellet nowhere near this. I did see his name when I checked to make sure I wasn’t going to get too close to anyone and decided if anyone named him I would indicate. You won’t find the wine in question anywhere at retail…its mainly doled out to friends and colleagues.
And, I should add, you guys haven’t gotten a single wine right yet!

OK, in for three cases. They are for a charity dinner next year, and being a '24 I am hoping to avoid what I had to do this year: a 24 hour decant on 30 bottles of lot 23. It worked out fine, but not something an 84 year old wants to do on a regular basis. And this way I get to scratch the ‘buy more’ itch without filling up my cellar; well fill it up for more than a year…
